I don't get much of a chance to listen to the Muppetcast since i can only do so at the library and the long length of the shows combined with my limited time to do everything else means not much Muppetcast listening for me (and it seems like the idea of putting it out on cd never went anywhere)...

I'm guessing it's just a new "theme" the latest shows are built around; like a different opening number mainly plus new sketch categories, puppets, etc. Same format but new elements to keep it fresh.

You get the whole episode with opening & closing credits when you play an individual episode. Watching them via Play All removes the themes between episodes...maybe to (a) keep someone from getting sick of the theme and (b) to save the viewer doing marathon watching some time.
