Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Well, it's been four months now since we've talked about this. Is there any new info about this book since the "Celebration" one has been postponed? Do they even have any cover art yet? Just wondering. Hope there are no problems ahead for this one.
Well it's been one day now since I made a post on this thread and I've cooled down a bit. Sorry if I sounded harsh and hateful. The good thing about this though is that we have another book to look forward to on the day after Christmas is "Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street". Has...
I really think that this is going to be a great year for Sesame Street. And I have no doubt that the classic characters will still be used more and more. In fact. on earlier this year on April 10th, I went to see a few inserts being taped at the studio and one of them was with :wisdom: and...
Now I am very angry about this. First they delay the Fraggle Rock book that was supposed to come out in September, now this? I just cannot believe that they changed this at the very last minute. What's worse is that a number of people (not counting myself) have already pre-ordered the book. This...
Yes it looks like it's going to be a great year for Sesame Street. I just have one question though. Even though that it is possible that it won't happen, do you think that the new clay segments with :p & :( will replace the Muppet versions?
Yes that's true, but I tried it again and didn't have any problems like before. Anyway, by Monday the site should be fully prepared and ready to go for all us Sesame fans young and old.:wisdom:
Well, here's what I have obtained. According to the Border's website, the book is due to hit store shelves this year in October. I also drove to Barnes & Noble earlier this morning and when I checked on their computers, it said that it is scheduled to be released in September 2009. Hopefully we...
Well I just saw the new website earlier today and the classic clips that they have on there are 100% pure gold. The only problem however is that right now, when i try to log onto the website, the message "this page cannot be displayed" comes up. Anyone know why that is? Anyway, it's fantabulous...
I agree. Lately, most of what I've been hearing about this show is more and morew bad reviews, and quite frankly, I'm kinda sick of it. We should be very very thankful that Disney has given the Muppets a chance to make another comeback into television, despite what some people think about it...
It is a shame that HIT will not be releasing season 4 as a stand alone set, but I think that it's best if we all be thankful that it is getting recognition for the complete series set (just a thought). Let's see how it works out.
Best of luck to you my good friend. It's best that we get some solid answers so we don't waste our good money on certain things, not that these last two sets are a waste. ;)
I guess you're right. I just wasn't sure because if they had everything that the individual sets had. It would be hard for me to sell them though. Anyway, I forgot that there is also another thread about the subjust here in the Fraggle section of the forum. :smirk::excited::coy:
If they do release the complete series before they release season 4, then they might cancel the latter since it would be kind of a waste. By the way, I have a few questions about the complete series:
- Aside from the brand new bonus features, will the old ones from the first three season sets...
I justy got a suggestion from another member here on the forum. If you wanted to access the show on the University of Maryland's video website, you would havbe to find out what their ip number is and use it with your own ip number. It might work, I don't know. I hope someone knows how to do it.
There's also the original theme song that did not make it on the air. Terry Angus talks about it in the interviews section and mentions that because everything was zipping by so fast and no one could get totally connected with everything, it just never made it on television. Hopefully it will be...
Well, it's been almost a year since we first heard about this great announcement. I don't mean to sound impatient, but have there been any updates or words yet about what is happening with this very special collection?
Karen Prell might know what the bonus features are. She might reveal some of them when she and :excited: appear at Comic Con. We'll have to play it by ear and see what we get.
