Your Thoughts: New Muppet Central Forum Features

Nope. If you get a really bad haircut, you can either (a) cut it further to try to salvage it (b) wear a wig (c) wait for it to grow out and if you get a bad housepaint, you can paint over it with a new color. But here, we can't do anything but hope pray and wish that this sucky yuchy...

Your Thoughts: New Muppet Central Forum Features

Don't want to get too long since it's highly unlikely this will even work and post but the new forum doesn't work with webtv - WHICH MEANS I CAN NO LONGER ACCESS THE FORUMS ANYMORE!!! **** IT! If it's not broke, don't "fix" it! Haven't been able to access Tough Pigs for years due to delphi...

Redesigned Muppets for "The Muppets" movie

My my my...little Camilla, how she's grown! (The actual Muppet chickens are starting to look like the huge things that Roger Langridge tended to draw!) ...and yeah i'm going to go slightly off-topic but i can't mention Camilla's look in the trailer without commenting on the puppeteering - is...

What IS the point of Junior Novelizations?

I think they're being overanalysed - it's a merchandise tie-in that allows those kids to have a movie they like in book form. Hard though it may be to believe - they are actually kids that like to read, do so without being forced to, and choose to buy a book (or have someone buy it for them)...

New Muppet books to tie in with the movie on the way!

I'm thinking the sticker/punch-out companion books might be along the lines of the classic Shrinky Dinks Muppet theatre - kids activity book/toy made of total awesomeness.

New Muppet books to tie in with the movie on the way!

Looks like a good crop - the jokebook looks like it may be something cool for all Muppet fans regardless of age. The odd one though is the movie junior novelization - not that they're doing one (they have before), but the fact that it's being released over a month before the movie. They're...

Redesigned Muppets for "The Muppets" movie

Gonzo was able to move one eyelid at a time previously before the redesign but it's still a relatively recent tweak (you can see the last Gonzo puppet before the redesign do it in the Muppets.com clips - check out the Never Had a Lesson's - and in Letters to Santa - check the Christmas rush...

    Daytime Emmy Noms.

I'm placing my bet now... If Dino Train or Sid wins any of their awards, i'm betting that their wins won't be reported on any of the Muppet news sites.

    7th Muppet Movie

It was 44 minutes because it was always intended from the beginning to be a television special and not a telefilm. 44 minutes of actual show (minus commercial time) for an hour program is pretty standard for network television these days.

"The Muppets: Green with Envy" Teaser Trailer On-line

I wouldn't give IMDB much (ahem) credit at this point. It's practically become a tradition by now that whenever a new Muppet project is in the can but waiting to air, a cast breakdown/performer listing pops up on IMDB and it's based on speculation and guesswork as opposed to actual knowledge...

Any chance of a Sesame Street cameo in the new Muppet movie?

Much as i'd love to see it, i don't see it happening with this movie. Disney's whole overarching goal is to reestablish the (Classic) Muppets as its own brand and reminding people that this family of characters is different than the Sesame Muppets is a large part of that. The next Muppet...

"The Muppets: Green with Envy" Teaser Trailer On-line

Duke, i agree with a lot of your post, but there was one section i had to comment on (which is really just an example of a "type" of post that others have posted similar kind of posts recently as well, so i'm just using this as an example really...) I fully get the sentiments behind this -...

    7th Muppet Movie

Exactly. The seventh Classic Muppet film made to be screened in movie theatres... 1. Muppet Movie 2. Great Caper 3. Manhatten 4. Carol 5. Island 6. Space (Also, Letters to Santa was a special, not a movie.)

"The Muppets: Green with Envy" Teaser Trailer On-line

Won't have a chance to watch the trailer online til i can get to the library (Friday at earliest) to where i can freeze frame it and look for all the small details - but yeah, forgot to mention the odd-looking pig when i was describing it. I think it may be one of the handfuls of new Muppets...

If "The Muppets" is a success: What's next?

Okay, i'm going to mention a major spoiler from an early draft of the script - but i imagine this is something that will be done differently in the film itself as it would be too misleading and confusing if it wasn't the case outside of the movie...

Minor Muppets you'd like to see in the new movie?

I only counted characters that were specifically named as having a line or being present. Going of an early draft and i'm sure lots has been changed (especially after getting input from Disney, Muppets Studio, Pixar, and Bobin who changed Bobo's part to Uncle Deadly) Of course group scenes...

Are other puppet shows on TV like the Muppet TV shows?

Did not know that about Roy but doesn't surprise me at all! Dearly miss Great Space Coaster. Lots of shows that used puppets did tend to sway towards a Muppet Show influence one way or another though i think Spitting Image (which SO needs a dvd release) was the closest anyone came to an...

Minor Muppets you'd like to see in the new movie?

After reading the sentence in one of the recent articles about how they'll feature over a hundred Muppet characters, i checked the Oct '09 draft of the script and it only specifically referenced 30-something Muppets - so that leaves about 60-something more obscure ones that have since been added.

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

Don't have anything to add that hasn't already been covered by others (though in answer to an asked question, no Thog doesn't speak - like most of the Muppets, they don't have lines in the trailer but is seen prominently in the background in one group shot), except that all the Muppets look...
