Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Do you have any of the following books and what condition are they in? Just thought I'd ask out of curiousity. Thank you. ;)
-Muppets at Sea
-Fozzie's Big Book of Side-Splitting Jokes
-The Great Muppet Caper: The Making of a Masterpiece
-Muppet Manners (or the night Gonzo gave a party)...
As long as you are still doing okay Jerry, we all love you from the bottom of our hearts and continue to enjoy seeing the stuff that you have done for so many wonderful decades. I have no doubt that Jim (Henson) made the right decision when he decided to hire you. But always remember that you...
I know that I am definately going to buy this CD at some point soon. I just have so many other things to take care of first. God bless you Jerry. I certainly hope that you are still with us here on the forum. If not, you are always in our thoughts and prayers.
I have to agree with your statement Phil. It's good that Sesame Workshop is able to give the new generation something they can enjoy as much as we did. It's very easy for us to forget that Sesame Workshop is doing its job and puts Sesame Street into the forefront of a younger audience than they...
If I din't already own the complete series collection boxset, I would be extremely extatic about this news. Don't get me wrong though, I think that this is outstanding and should be celebrated. :smirk::excited::coy:
Since there are going to be three volumes of this comic, I think I might just wait and see if the create a trade-paper version of this. I'm also still waiting for the trade-paper version of "The Muppet Show: On the Road" and "Muppet King Arthur".
I don't think we should be too worried. The special runs for 52 minutes, as noted on the description, so that should say something.
Anyway, I already have a DVD-R copy of this and have seen it numerous times, but I see a good chance of myself buying this, only due to its great quality.
I cannot believe how far Lionsgate is pushing all of this. It seems to me that all of the connections between Henson, Disney, and Sesame Workshop are really being worked on. Jim's spirit will certainly never die thanks to all of this.
Those are some great images. It just goes to show that Jim and his creations belong to everyone and not Disney. Fortunately though, Disney now realizes that very well.
I think that it is very noble of you to be pushing for a major project like this. Please keep us informed as often as possible and good luck.:p:(:insatiable:
I'll tell you what, when I get my own place and put my Henson collection in a seperate room, that's definately going to be put up on my door. I didn't know they made something like that anyway. Would make for really nice decor.
Hello Mr. Lewis,
I have two questions I wasn't sure you would be able to answer:
1. Disney announced not long ago that the fourth season of the Muppet Show was scheduled to be released this year. Unfortunately, they have not even set a specific date yet. Do you know exactly when it will be...
Right now, I'm looking at the episode where Big Bird has sprained his wing, and it's defiantely one of the best ones they've done this year. Caroll Spinney just shines in this street story. And the hidden gems of Jerry Nelson's characters tops it all off.
As for the rumor about Big Bird...
Three days ago, I bought copy of "One Frog Can Make a Difference", both book and audio cassete online. I've still got a long way to go with the other stuff I want to find.
Obviously this is a sign that there could be some agreements between all sides of the Henson company. If this means that the copyrights are not going to be too much of an issue for Disney anymore, there is a great deal of hope for everyone.
