Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
A release date has just been announced: September 24th, 2013, just in time for Jim's 77th birthday. Now I know what I am putting on my Christmas list this year. :jim::jim::jim:
Hi,
I am thinking about taking one of John Tartaglia's puppetry courses in NYC. I know about the private classes which are $200.00 an hour, but I was wondering if anyone knows when they do the group classes. Has anyone ever worked with him or his staff? Does anyone know when they have their...
If he's doing a tribute to Jerry Nelson, then that probably means that he is still working on the book, but it is just a matter of time before we hear the official announcement about what is going on with it. I guess it's just one of those things that takes time.
Hi everybody,
Does anyone know if there have been any updates on this book yet? Just curious. I'm guessing the author is probably still working on it and is just too busy to post any updates on it.

Wonderful review Phil. This is definitely something I might add to my Christmas list. The episodes sound great, despite the edits. And the bonus features are enough to wet any Sesame Street fans appetite. Thank you so much for this great review.
P.S.
Will there be a review for the new book...
Although I wasn't there, it is obvious from the videos that it was a moving and touching experience. I haven't seen anything so wonderful since Jim Henson's memorial in 1990. Jerry would be proud of the tribute he had received. We will all miss him dearly. :sing::batty::smirk::search::fishy:
I just want to say thank you to everyone for their advice and suggestions. As I have said before, I would very much love to send something to Kevin Clash, but I want to make sure that what I have is good enough for the possibility of a workshop with him.
I am however trying to see if I can...
It's funny that you mention it Phil because in the second episode of the Hawaii trip as the plane is getting ready to land, Big Bird mentions to Maria how Snuffy missed his free trip to Hawaii, and I always wondered if there was an episode where it was revealed that they were going.
It just goes to show how special a character he is to Sesame Street and the world. It's that personality that Caroll Spinney gives to Big Bird that makes everyone love him. A wonderful video. Thank you for sharing.:wisdom:
As an aspiring puppeteer, I am looking to work for some big companies. I know how difficult it is to get involved with the Muppets as a performer, but I wasn't sure if there was anyone who might be able to critique what I can do with my puppet, Morris monster. I have the link for the videos...
Well whether some of those pieces appear on the discs or not, I'm sure that we'll get some great stuff on them. The anticipation really has me going. I hope that we see some cover art soon.
