    The RHLC!

I'm back - I've been absent for a few days. The usual reasons, work, life, etc. I can count syllables all right - I'm actually pretty good at writing haiku - but I'm not sure how good I'd be as a puppeteer. I'd probably end up working behind the scenes - sometimes I like to think that if I...

    The RHLC!

Love JD and the Muppets - I had a copy of "A Christmas Together" floating around here somewhere but I seem to have misplaced it. And I know the feeling - today I had one of those days, where there were a lot of people I wanted to say "Your face!" to. And the Fraggles are wonderful therapy - I...

    The RHLC!

Wow, we've got most of the old gang back - should we have a chorus of "Together Again?" Second-longest thread - looks like all our gushing and ranting about Richard really adds up. (And sorry I haven't been around HC lately, Ed - life keeps getting in the way.) Welcome aboard, muppet fan girl...

"All right...but I'm warning you, there is something funny going on here..." "Fine! But there had better be something funny going on out there!" Great sketch...Uncle Deadly is so deliciously malicious (or is it maliciously delicious?)...and the others are frightened out of their wits. Me too...

    The RHLC!

Nice - I've heard a few of their songs: "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Head Over Heels," the big ones. Guess we're both channeling the 1980s in our signatures - my signature and location are both from songs by Nik Kershaw. I've got to try to dig up a copy of MFC...

    The RHLC!

Very nice - Scooter's been one of my faves since I was a kid. I also love Janice, and Beaker, and Statler - as well as some of his minor and one-shot characters, like Beige and the Wizard from Fraggle Rock. Hey, heralde, where's your new signature from?

    The RHLC!

Woo-hoo, heralde's back! :excited: How's everything going? We've really missed you, so it's great to see you back. And welcome to the RHLC, GoboDeadly95.

    The RHLC!

Oh, yeah - I find that TMS and FR are good to watch when I need to put the world back into some kind of perspective, which is fairly frequently. And let's face it, the Muppets are much more intelligent and well-written than most of the shows on television these days. During one of the...

    The RHLC!

Sweet - what kind of store is it? I remember when I went to the Muppet Vault at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn a few months back, they had a little Muppet trivia contest - and some of the prizes were FR plushies. I think they were Gobo and Wembley. :)

    The RHLC!

Oh, yeah, it's lots of fun - last year, it took place right around the full moon. I've still got this really great photo of the moon rising over the river. Plus, they always serve hot cider and cookies afterwards. I think we also had some werewolves tag along - that's the only explanation I...

    The RHLC!

Same here; happy Halloween to all. I just came home from a nighttime hike in the Palisades. Every year, the park guys conduct a night hike along the banks of the Hudson River, the one night out of the year they'll let people into the park after dusk. It's really cool - plus, there's hot cider...

    The RHLC!

Zombie walk, eh? Sounds like a typical Monday morning at the office for me. ;) Had a cool sort-of-Muppety dream a few nights back. I dreamed that I'd gone to a gathering of Muppet people - Richard was there, and I think Jerry was too. Over the course of the dream, Richard somehow taught me...

    The RHLC!

I know - it just seems these days that it's really hard to get a book published, unless you're some big-time celeb. But the crime drama novella sounds cool, since I love mysteries. I helped get a literary magazine started up when I was in high school (the school had one off and on over the...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Hmmm, good question - well, there was a Sherlock Hemlock sketch that bothered me a little bit, mostly because, as I remember, he kept shouting and carrying on at his sidekick. The details are all pretty hazy. But apart from that, there weren't any sketches that scared me, I don't think.

    The RHLC!

Whew...glad to see Jane is still alive and kicking. She's a very spirited lady - then, too, when you're the mum of five kids, one of whom grew up to be Richard, you'd have to be. God bless her and all the Hunts, and grant them good health and high spirits. What kind of stories are you writing...

    The RHLC!

That's really interesting, Wanda - I'll have to check that out next time I have a listen to that. Wow...really sounds like you're up to your neck in work and everything, Nekoshema - you have my utmost sympathies. I was up on Cape Cod for the weekend - had lots of fun, did a lot of biking and...

    The JHLC

Let me be the first to say welcome to the JHLC, on behalf of the RHLC. :) ;) This is a good idea, Dwayne - I can't believe someone didn't suggest it sooner.

    Dreams about Muppets...

I had one about a week or so ago, and in addition to being a Muppet dream, it's also probably a direct result of listening to way too much Nik Kershaw, as you can tell from my signature. But anyways, I was seeing Nik live and in concert, and during the finale number - tune called "I Won't Let...

    The RHLC!

Best of luck to you, Marty! Wow - really sounds like you're up to your neck in a lot of things, Nekoshema. Take care of yourself, and try to get some rest. Which city are you doing the AIDS Walk in? New York had theirs in the spring, and I know other cities have theirs in October.

What was the last book you bought and why?

Last book I bought? That's a tough one - I've bought quite a few books lately. But one of them was a mystery called "The Drunkard's Path" by Clare O'Donohue. That's one of the pros (and occasionally, cons) of living within walking distance of a bookshop - I can't walk by without going into...
