Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Ugh, I guess anything Muppets is good at this point. She looks like a cross between the Orange Bird and a Backyardigans character.
The animation looks nice. Fozzie looks like an actual puppet.
Nice list; I was gonna list mine in the "Top 10 Anything" thread, but knew I'd forget something, as there are so many. Rainbow Connection is supposed to be the Muppet's "signature song", I believe. The bridge absolutely kills me (in a good way ;)).
I know I'm gonna be forgetting some, but here...
The 2000's were perhaps the "Dark Age" lol, with the best thing coming out that decade maybe being the Palisades Toys :)... like honestly, there was a time where you could go into a mainstream toy store and buy an unbelievably detailed Lew Zealand figure for under 10 bucks.
Even though we're...
This is totally something I would've geeked out over as a kid going to Disney World, but alas, they didn't really have anything like this.
Apparently these are a relic of the '90s, used as standees in the queue of "Here Come the Muppets".
As for the second half of the video, I can see why Jim...
Weren't they polar opposites? In Space Jam, she was depicted as this sexy "I'm too good for you" character, and in TLTS she was like Amy Rose; being annoying and chasing Bugs. I barely watched the Looney Tunes Show.
I am a member of way less active sites; like stuff you are actually saying (months without a post). I leave this site for a few hours and some ten threads have been recently posted in.
As Pig's Laundry has suggested, not just Muppet Central, but pretty much every forum I'm a part of has taken a...
This has gotten blasphemous, even for Muppet Central standards. Every person must go through the "I'm too old for Sesame Street" phase in order to come out the other end.
Old school Sesame Street appealed to both children and adults. Some of the old skits are as hysterical as golden-age Simpson...
I know we have the Fraggle thread for this, but am I the only one who hates Funko Pops?
"Here's an idea: let's strip the characters of all their personality by taking away their pupils!"
"Yeah! That's great!"
It just bothers me that something I hate so much has become such a fad. The sad...
Mother Gothel is frickin' hot.
Probably the most embarrassing thing I'll admit on this site is I actually stopped watching Tiny Toons because I became infatuated with the character of Shirley the Loon; the valley girl thing is such a turn on. Probably the same reason I've always had a thing for...
It's just like the recent SS video where Ryan Dillon wouldn't name-drop Kevin Clash; it wasn't necessary to, but I kinda got the impression he intentionally avoided it.
Fall back in popularity. They never recovered from that; it would've been impossible to. He was in the process of selling them to Disney when he died; there was going to be a bunch more Muppet stuff at Disney World. I think there was even talks of them having their own park.
So I think the...
Well Kermit has taken a part in many a meme, and I think people will always like characters like Chef, Beaker, Animal, etc. just because of the novelty of them.
Well the '70s and the '80s were their peak, and then once Jim died they obviously took a hit in the '90s.
I love that Brian Wilson falsetto that fades out the song; the Muppets definitely did this song justice.
Oftentimes I like Christmas music more than regular music just because it's more sentimental.
