The "Nostalgia Over Things You Didn't Even Live Through" Thread

I mean, I remember even as late as about 2006, classic radio stations had more variety than they do now.

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5024 - Dog Day Engineers

I mean, sure they recycled plots a lot over the years, but now we live in an age of streaming when kids can watch whatever episodes they want, whenever they want. Seems like you would need to shake things up a bit more. The fact that this season is keeping continuity, to a certain extent, is...

Fraggle Rock Rock On! Episode 1 - Shine On!

They might be intentionally shying away from using Kevin Clash in these.

HBO Max to debut Sesame Street Seasons 51-55 and stream episodes from 50-year library

I had kind of assumed anything that was already available on the HBO service would be on Max.

    The Doctor Who Thread

I can't decide who's Master I like better. Delgado, Gomez, and Dhawan are all so good.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

That's such a small number compared to the amount of episodes there are! The wiki is truly an amazing place.

    Sesame Street Special "Elmo's Playdate"

Julia didn't appear in the actual special, but on Cartoon Network there was a PSA with her and her brother in it a little bit after. Also, coincidentally, I think right after the special there was a Lunchables ad that featured Violet Tinnirello, who plays Charlie.

    My Disney+ Wish List

Yeah, I saw the short. Not much to say other than, it was very cute. Probably the best thing The Simpsons has done in a while.

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5008 - A Recipe for Dance

You know what? Not the most remarkable episode but I appreciate that the human cast got some relatively substantial stuff to work with. Chris in particular. They felt a bit more like people in this one, and not so much interchangeable sidekicks to the Muppets.

Sesame went down hill when Elmo came on the scene

That makes sense. Personally, I do think Ryan's Elmo works better with Abby than Kevin's did. Although, I do wonder what Ryan's Elmo would be like with Jennifer's Zoe, since we haven't seen much of that.

Sesame went down hill when Elmo came on the scene

I am still pretty sad that the Elmo/Zoe dynamic is dead, but I will say the writers have found a pretty funny and cute dynamic in Rosita and Zoe since about season 47.

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

Jim is always easy to identify for me because of the way his character's heads tend to kind of jerk and bobble around. But yeah, over all I agree with Oscarfan's assessment.

    Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5022 - The Disappoint-O-Meter

Hold up. Where did the MOMI stream? EDIT: Nevermind, I found it! Smh, I don't need you, I don't need anybody.

    Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5022 - The Disappoint-O-Meter

Disappointing indeed! That feels so wrong and disrespectful. Sesame Workshop literally hyped this episode up too. What was the point of Caroll doing the voices at all?
