@ToughPigsJoe with all do respect, they did say they aren't going to do anything with the episode after this so if this is the only chance we get to see it obviously someone is gonna want to record it
There were 2 things in the audio I noticed that I have to talk about, the first thing I noticed that probably scared the kids (and I personally found a little creepy) was the creepy voodoo music that plays near the beginning and also it seems that when she was plotting her next evil plan she...
Ah yes, the Vicma set. That set is one of the strangest things about this whole puppet lineup. The heads are well sculpted but the colours are way off. Sherlock has yellow hair, and Betty Lou is orange also this was literally the only time Professor Hastings was made as a toy
They are made from soft rubber but it's hard to do it with one of the later ones since those have harder heads, later Count, Bert and Ernie were remade with fabric heads but Roosevelt Franklin wasn't (my guess is because they updated the set during the time he was banned from the show)
This one took me a while. She was made about a month ago and her name is Elizabeth. This is an older photo and I recently gave her legs, I'll post an updated photo later.
Here is another one I really want to find. Roosevelt Franklin. This was one of the only times he was made as a toy and they did a pretty good job on him. Also I wanted to compare him with the Vicma puppet from spain which looks like it is made from softer rubber with lighter colours.
I have always wanted a Big Bird from this set. There were 2 different (well, actually 3) Big Birds made. The first 2 were dolls with triggers to move his beak (sort of like a ventriloquist dummy). The first had plastic legs and the second had fabric legs (I prefer the fabric legs). The last was...
I was very excited to see Goldilocks even if the character wasn't exactly the same as she was before and seeing Horatio was also a nice surprise, I thought that puppet was probably down for the count
I don't think you could, I think he just came with different eyes, noses and hair. And I think the heads of Ernie and Bert were molded over the actual puppets and I forgot to mention that Oscar was also pretty cheap looking and small.
Another toy category we needed a thread about. The vintage Sesame Street puppets made by Topper, Educational Toys, Questor and other companies are probably my favorite out of all Sesame Street toys. So if you also have any thoughts about these toys you know the drill, just post here.
It's a full 12 hours so maybe, just maybe we will get to see some of the new digitized stuff (I personally am hoping for the Margaret Hamilton episode, The Bathtub sing a long and Rufus visits Sesame Street) also they will probably be different ones than the dvd has, as you can see the thumbnail...
