I used to have this album but it got lost, and I wanted a decent copy, and not all of the tracks of the LP are found on YouTube, particularly the Carly Simon song "Be With Me" (YouTube has her original from '76 and the version from the show, but not this LP version from '80).
Any help would be...
Really not that many. Missing a little over 50 episodes out of thousands is really not anything to be upset over. Especially knowing that a lot of classic series from the golden age of television have episodes completely lost and/or destroyed.
I found it amusing that in Christmas Eve On Sesame Street, when Ernie finds one of Bert's paperclips lying around, he vows to get him something that will keep them from getting lost again, and then he tosses the paperclip over his shoulder!
It is a bit odd, but I didn't know myself, and I had Googled about him not too long ago... So, apparently, unless you happen to follow him on Facebook (which seems so few did), there was literally no way of knowing about his passing.
Over here, the 7am showing was the same as the 4pm episode the day before. At 9am, I think the "new" episode would air. That one would be shown the following day at 4pm, then again at 7am the next morning. So, it was an interesting cycle
It was confusing to me as a child because I had the '74 issue of Sesame Street 1 album and it featured what looks like a season 4 (maybe season 5) promo, and the back cover even said Hal Miller as Gordon, but they were obviously referring to the current TV show and not who appeared on the...
I wonder if anyone associates Hal Miller as being "their" Gordon.
I've now seen a lot of episodes with him, and he just didn't seem like he was fit for the role... It was an okay stop gap between Matt and Roscoe but he had no "spark".
