Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
There used to be a show called "Bone Chillers" on ABC and at the end of an episode about a crazed ape, the school cook comes out with a stack of Banana Cream pies in his arms and sings out "TEN BANANA CREAM PIES!" And of course, he falls over and makes a mess.
Classic Sesame reference. Gotta...
*For those of you that don't know who Will is, he is mostly remembered as that guy from the GAP ads dancing to "Stuff Like That". He is part of a dance troupe called "Adventures in Motion Pictures" and has made the leap to acting in the forthcoming movies "Mindhunters" (As Rafe, the java...
I was just watching "I Love the '80s-1982" and Michael Ian Black is summing up "Rocky III" by saying-
"The plot of 'Rocky III' is as follows: Sylvester Stallone appears on 'The Muppet Show' , Mr. T is in it, and Rocky fights Mr. T."
They even had Kermit looking out of the O!:)
I'll go with "Muppets Tonight", as usual.
Dennis Quaid-Gotta love that "Dragonheart" parody with Kermit.
Heather Locklear-Funny, funny stuff. "You know who doesn't get enough credit? The Osmonds!"
Billy Crystal-And the "City Slickers" Parody was great, too.
I'm actually wondering why Sly is in "Spy Kids 3".
Anyway, in the case of "Muppets Tonight", the one with Arsenio and Johnny Cochran wasn't very good.
Mine is from "Muppets Tonight", where a video of a drunken Phil Van Neuter singing Barry Manilow songs at the '93 studio X-mas party is shown on "Tales from the Vet". Classic.
I had an idea for a show with MJH, where she's accidentally cloned by Bunsen and they launch into a "Patty Duke Show" parody.
Man, I should be a writer for that show.:D
I think you'd be proven wrong, Zack.....
Both of the only Bishônen Pop bands have been on SS, and I believe Chris Kirkpatrick is a very big fan. And if you EVER say something like that again, I will karate chop you into next week! :p
But I do NOT want to see that sick freak Marilyn...
That movie, wow.
I have to say it was a time when most fantasy movies had to be animated, and then Henson and Froud come to prove that wrong. It certainly paved the way for many of today's fantasy movies, don't you think?
I was reading the TPB "Simpsons Comics Madness" with a story by Scott Shaw! about rejected ideas for the ill-fated Itchy and Scratchy character Poochie. One of these happens to be "Roger Meyers Jr.'s POOCHIE BABIES", which happens to be an obvious parody of the Muppet Babies.
HOWEVER, I'm...
EWAN!!!!!
Anyway, here's more-
Katie Holmes (She was in "Muppets from Space" being hit on by Pepe and a show with that as the main plot would be funny.)
Frankie Muniz
Melissa Joan Hart
Jimmy Fallon
Will Sasso
Andy Dick
Alyssa Milano
That's all I can think of for now.....
My favorite parts were-
Kermit comes face to face with a Young Jim Henson
Middle-Aged Statler and Waldorf
And the Outtake-
Goggles:"Waitaminnit, EVERY SCENE'S A NUDE SCENE!":concern:
But I think this was supposed to take place in the mid-60's.....
