I'm so happy they decided to upload this episode (3636). This is actually a very special episode. I don't know if it's significant to the series (well, maybe it is, since they decided to upload it, and I think the Paley center has it), but it is rather significant to me. Because you see, just like almost everybody else here, I went through a period of time that I didn't really watch Sesame Street. Like just about everyone else on this Earth, I felt like I was too old for it. Though I would occasionally tune in if I was channel surfing, but only watch about 3 or 4 sketches. And this specific episode aired on what's considered Marathon Monday here in Massachusetts of 1997. And back then, all of the network stations had wall-to-wall coverage, including pre-race coverage. I was sick and tired of all the pre-race coverage, so I decided to look for something else to watch. Sesame Street just happened to be on, and so I was like "What the heck? I guess I'll watch this. I haven't seen this show in awhile." And then the song "A Baby's Life" came on, which was a total throwback. I remembered it from when I was little and I couldn't believe they were still showing it that late. I watched 3638 the following Wednesday which was about Oscar, and I always liked street stories that revolved around Oscar. And then the next day, a very similar thing happened with the sketch with Guy Smiley taking his audience to lunch. And before I knew it, I was hooked. So this was basically the episode that got me back into the show again.
