Tbh, I didn't think we would see Muppet figures this soon from NECA. I figured it would be a another year or more. So glad to see these coming, possibly this year. This may be why the Sesame stuff is spaced out. While they are separate licenses, I'm sure NECA doesn't want to flood the market with too many Muppets.

Just from this teaser I already like what I see, assuming these are actual prototypes. Fozzie's got that "fried chicken" texture and wrist articulation. Kermit has wrist and elbow joints. Looks like this will be the best of Palisades and DST Muppets combined.

A little late to the party, but it's really nice having Muppet action figures in circulation again, and to echo at least a couple others in this thread, I *REALLY* hope the "unknown character" next up in the line is Cookie Monster.

I guess Elmo would be fine, but the idea doesn't intrigue me as much as a Cookie Monster figure, who by comparison is a bit more challenging to picture articulated and thus a lot more intriguing. I wonder if they'd give him multiple heads along with one head with an articulated jaw like they did with the Creature From The Black Lagoon, if they'll give him plastic neck layers to allow for more head/neck articulation, etc.

Big Bird looks amazing.
Q3 shipping is a disappointment. By then, it will be a year and a half since Count came out. Ridiculous.
They will never maintain momentum at this pace.
Yeah, I don't think enough people have been complaining about this honestly. Has zapped all my interest in the line (though of course I will still get excited and collect some of them)

What are folks' expectations and hopes for new reveals for this line at Toy Fair in a couple weeks?

I expect they'll show the next figure coming out, which I think will be Cookie Monster, and that will be the only reveal. Since they've already revealed several figures that haven't gone up for pre-order yet, I don't expect they'll reveal any additional figures until SDCC this summer. Elmo and Zoe plus Prairie Dawn and Betty Lou two-packs would be good next additions to the line, IMHO.

Not exactly this line, but I hope they reveal some Muppet figures that fit with this line and the Palisades line. With the Muppet Show special coming out in a week, Toy Fair seems like a great time for them to show off some new Muppet figures. I think Kermit, Piggy, Rowlf, Fozzie, Animal, and Gonzo figures would sell well, even amongst people who already have the Palisades versions.
I'm still going Cookie. Trevor (head of the line who does the interviews) said they had too many fuzzy and blue characters lined up for release. I imagine Cookie has basically been as complete as anyone for awhile. I think they want to get Big Bird, Oscar, Grover and Cookie released, and then they can kinda do what they want after that.

This may be why the Sesame stuff is spaced out. While they are separate licenses, I'm sure NECA doesn't want to flood the market with too many Muppets.

This came to my mind to. If this is actually the case, I'm not a fan of this Muppets announcement tbh. They already have their line

I get where you are coming from, but Palisades was over 20 years ago. Some of my figures plastic is getting brittle. Some accessories scattered to time. And if there is ever going to be a time for another Muppet Show line, this is the same.

DST is also dead, so it's not like that particular Muppets line will be readily available just anywhere anymore, so I get it although I was surprised at how soon they jumped on it.
