Elmo is too excited to teach Tango a new trick, so Julia and Sam show him how to shake out his energy and use a gentle voice and quiet body.

This episode features an all-new street story, Everyone Has Big Feelings ("Playing T-Ball"), Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck ("Vanilla"), and Elmo & Tango's Mysterious Mysteries ("Missing Wand").

Beginning with Season 46, Max (formerly HBO/HBO Max) acquired exclusive first-rights to broadcast Sesame Street episodes. PBS broadcasts these same shows nine months after their Max premiere. In order to help more children with autism, this episode premiered jointly on Max and PBS on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Check local listings for air times for PBS. This is the first Season 55 episode to air on PBS.

Autism currently affects 1 in 36 children in the US according to 2020 data. That’s more than a 300% increase since 2000. Sesame Workshop has an official website for children and parents who are dealing with the challenges of autism.

Here's my review. Julia and Sam have a dog named Rose. They teach Elmo how to play hide and seek with a dog. Elmo gets excited to play it, so Julia and Sam teach him the wet dog wiggles. We get a new segment where a boy gets a new dog. In Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck, a girl got a new dog and throws a party for it. She wants vanilla ice pops that are safe for dogs. We learn where vanilla comes from. Then you and me solve a mystery of Elmo and Tango's Mysterious Mysteries where Elmo and Tango find Abby's wand.

I loved Oscar's reaction to Tango chewing up the slipper. Would have been nice to see preposterous make a comeback for this episode. But that's wishful thinking.
