Muppeteers in Oz Final Scene?
Ok, just watching a little of Muppets' Wizard of Oz here and in the final scene where Dorothy is performing, in the shot of everybody in the Diner watching the show on TV, you can easily see Dave Goelz sitting right below Queen Latifah, and I'm almost positive that...
I'm sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere, and if it has, pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated, but I was wondering, is there any significant reason the episodes are not on the DVD in the order they were originally aired? Is it simply because the makers of...
Good News from the Disney front. I hope this hasn't been brought up anywhere else, but take a gander at the abc Oz site, the bottom right corner has the abcHD logo, which means that Muppet Wizard of Oz will be broadcast on HD channels in High Definition Widescreen!!!! That means that when the...
That was such a surprise!
Disney letting Kermit appear on SNL. I'm amazed. Anyway, Steve was wonderful as always, and it was a great christmas moment. Unfortunately I missed the beginning, so I didn't understand the set up to the song, but De Niro and Kermit were very good together.
Disney didn't abuse Pixar, they nurtured them and I don't think there's anybody that denies that Pixar is a better studio because of Disney. Granted, hopefully slowly Disney will begin to realize, which I think they will once Uncle Mike hits the road in a year or so, that often times the...
wasn't word on the street that Muppet Wizard of Oz would be under the Touchstone Television brand? Maybe I'm just imagining things, but I do recall that.
Of course, anybody that knows the story of Wicked the musical, not the book (they're so different, I happen to prefer the musical story, but that's only because it fits with the MGM film), might see that Piggy having a thing for Kermit in this new movie wouldn't be such a crazy idea. wink, wink
Yeah, everytime I've been on Muppetvision it's been fairly crowded, and the Imagineers really did an awesome job. I could spend all day walking around that building and in the pre-show area, it's just incredible. And be sure to lift up the mat in front of Pop's window.
I don't see...
No, no, the wizard's gotta be human. He comes from our world, too, just like Dorothy, he's not from Oz. It's nothing like I expected but I love Jeffrey Tambor as the wizard. I think he's really funny, and can be charismatic and quite the "sentimental man" that the wizard is. It's also cool...
Yes, everybody's probably right, a pet shrimp....er...king prawn will probably be funnier anyway. Although i still think a "woof woof, I am Toto...okay" line would be fantastic.
Oh, I think the muchkins are allready played by the Rats, but Sal will definitely make an awesome leader of the...
hopefully pepe will wear some black dog costume with just his face showing and his little strands of hair stuff sticking out from under it....thatd be pretty awesome and funny
question for Wizard of Oz specialists:
Is the role of the Good Witch of the South a Book-only character?
Oh, and Nice to see that Pepe is confirmed as Toto as well.
Amen, Go Henson! Go Disney! I'm not sure how many of us there are, but I'm really excited about the direction this project seems to be taking. It isn't at all like I imagined, but I love it nonetheless. Ashanti will make a great Dorothy, it'll be fantastic to have a song or two sung by her...
If I remember correctly, the writers of Muppet Wizard of Oz are just some folks that wrote the latest Home Alone movie (another Wonderful World of Disney project for abc).
No great Muppet writers here...but I'm sure the performers will be able to make it their own and make sure they're the...
I dunno about Spy Kids 3-D, but Shrek 3-D was just plain painful to watch. Granted, it made the ride look spectacular and it's an awesome film, but it's definitely not made for the red and blue 3-D glasses you get in cereal boxes.
Muppetvision 3-D I think would be hugely entertaining even on...
