It's not an easy one to find for some reason. I've only seen one on Ebay since someone else asked about it 8 years ago. Some libraries still have it. You can check at worldcat.org. (Look for "Songs for Tiny Travelers".)
I wish I could go this year! These are the Muppet/Henson-related guests I've seen listed:
Steve Whitmire
Caroll Spinney
Cheryl Henson
Leslie Carrara-Rudolph
Pam Arciero
Tyler Bunch
Karen Falk
Debbie McClellan
Kirk Thatcher
I'll also mention Terry Jones for his connection to Labyrinth.
Aha! Thanks for the clarification. I do have the original broadcast recorded somewhere, but I lazily just looked for it online. I'll go watch the original.
We might get to see all of the Muppet appearances from the Tonight Show. (Except for anything prior to 1972. Most of the earlier episodes were not archived.) Unfortunately this will be on a channel that I probably won't have access to...
I was just thinking about this last night while watching "I Am Big Bird". When Matt is being interviewed you can see some Muppet toys on the shelf behind him, and they all appear to be characters that he performs. Strangepork is among them.
I know this is a pretty old thread, but Seth Meyers talked about this SNL appearance recently when Jason Segel was a guest on his show. Seth had the following to say:
"We got to write, with Jason, a song for the Muppets. And it went really well at dress rehearsal, and at air... I don't want to...
Even though I didn't have tickets to Comic-Con, I went down to San Diego last weekend to try to meet the Muppet performers. I didn't see Eric or Dave, but I did manage to catch Bill and Steve, and those were the two I needed to complete a couple of autograph sets.
I have a Fraggle Rock annual...
MelissaY1, have you attended one of these before? There's going to be one near me in California soon, and I was wondering if it's worthwhile. I saw a promo for it, and it seemed very much geared towards kids.
I'm pretty disappointed that there is no MMW song nominated. I wasn't necessarily expecting a nomination, because I certainly didn't have much knowledge of what songs might be competing for a spot, but it just doesn't make sense to me when comparing it to the one nominee I am familiar with. I...
Just letting you know that there's a typo in the link. You need to flip the "a" and the "t".
I don't know if you're an "expert" on these toys or if you just enjoy talking about them, but I have some questions about the Topper puppets. I'll keep watching the blog!
I called a few stores and found out that they have started receiving the Itty Bittys but have been instructed not to put them out for sale until January. However, some stores are ignoring that. As they stated at the store I went to, they weren't just going to leave them in a box in the storeroom...
You saw the Itty Bittys? I didn't think they would be out yet, but I saw people selling them on Ebay. The Hallmark website says they're being sold in stores only, so I went to a Hallmark store today but was told they won't be released until next year. I'm confused!
A little promotional video has been added, and it's titled "Cookie Monster and Elmo Are Super Excited!"
http://queenlatifah.com/episodes/september-17-2014/
It also includes the following note:
"Don't miss Sesame Street's Cookie Monster and Elmo on cooking up some cookies on The Queen Latifah Show."
Wednesday's episode of The Queen Latifah Show has the description "Goldie Hawn and Sesame Street". Unfortunately there aren't any other details. I guess we'll have to watch and see what happens.
