This really happened - okay, not exactly, but after having a dryer delivery postponed 4 times (and finally cancelling and getting a new one somewhere else) due to manufacturer not shipping anything, I told people it was beginning to feel like Mr. Johnson, the fat blue muppet whom Grover always...
Anotehr way to look at it is this.
It's supposedlyi still going to be 9 months till it's aired on PBS. It generally started in September. Thus, perhaps they figure on earlyi December so that 9 months gets them to September, 2016.
No word on any extra fliming being done? At least if they're no...
Some good points - as I've said, my main concern is that this won't be reaching the free public airwaves right away, but it's true that if PBS goes belly up there does need to be a venue, but as one poster said, the Disney family of channels is a much more logical fit, even if there is an HBO...
Admittedly, no, I don't know all 7,283 channels :-) so didn't know one existed, but that just means even fewer will be able to see it right away, and not going to the original underprivileged kids via public access is the main focus of my parody. Which is now up under fan fiction. If this is my...
This new 30-min. Sesame Street on HBO :)
(Murray walks up to kid): What’s the word on the street? (Kid whispers in his ear, Murray looks back): I’m not saying that word!
(Theme song)
Big Bird: Hi, welcome to Ses-
Oscar: Scram
BB: That wasn’t very nice.
O: I know, but I had to interrupt you so...
I have to leave in a few minutes, but I just read this on Twitter and came here...
Boy, this is dumb...
Expect a parody later like my one with the Word on the Street being "Donations"...
Who wants to bet Sonia Manzano left the show in protest? I think it's quite plausible...
I would have...
No, I think even if they're like me at that age and notice, they think what I did - the idea of the Muppets just being such special friends that they become "real" a la the Velveteen Rabbit.(pre-illness, that is, when the child sees him as real but before he becomes a real rabbit.)
I'm not so sure there *isn't* a good way to explain Maria's absence. I've done quite a bit of fanfiction for other shows, and I can think of 2:
1. Moved close by to care for elderly relative (short term, of course, but my mom moved in with my grandma for 2 months as she was dying of cancer...
Do they actually think every one is Elmo, though, or not have the words to verbalize who it is so just call it Elmo, as if Elmo is their replacement for "Sesame Street"? Not sure how you test for the difference, except maybe as k them to do something the character does. (Cookie Monster would...
Interesting to read about the changes, I've been too busy to even read any of the info on here about any episodes after a peak at the first few bits on this site, given my online books and such. Which is just as well, so much is online if I want to see it, and the way things went I don't know if...
I think it could be done in a funny way - instead of telling them they don't need one, having Oscar come out of the can and wonder why there's a party in front of his trash can, getting miffed because all the noisemakers have an elephant in his can copying, maybe some balloons fall into his...
It's been decades since I saw him, but there was a Muppet in one song that looked like Roosevelt Franklin - was it? Of course, it could have just looked like him because of the haircut, and with me being legally blind, it's hard to say for sure.
Bert could be The Eight Crusader, I suppose.
I wonder if the appearance of so many of the Original SS Muppets in a number of street scenes is the anniversary present for the fans.
Am I the only one whose mind instantly thought they should have a parody with the Count singing, "Oh, I'm proud to be at Numeric Con, where we all count one, two, three. And the numbers they can go up so high, up to infinity...."
I doubt they've ever parodied a patriotic song, but that name...
Cool; "Raising dad was good, had it come on a few years later it might have done better, as people began to enjoy the more wholesome shows again. Too bad, too - I rather enjoyed coming up with a possible screenplay to sell t6o them that would have let "Full House" had an epilogue as Stephanie...
