Now what's going on with YouTube?

I've noticed that the video tags have now been hidden from public view on all videos... I guess too many people were complaining about some users going overboard on the tags (something I'm guilty of on occasion).

I can't tell you how many users abuse the tags to earn cheap views, namely adding words like "boobs" and a million others I can't say on here.

Yes, I've lost count of how many stupid videos I've found that have "porn" in the tags.

While I haven't used words like that, I may go a little overboard like if there are specific cultural references in a video I've made, I'll add those to the tags, otherwise, not so much.

Actually, it's because users rarely used them to go from video to video.

Now Wayback Machine doesn't seem to be working properly anymore either... everything pretty much looks like a read-only/text-only archive, as opposed to the preservation of what the specific site used to look like.

Probably because users are too lazy to click "Show more" in the video description... or at least, that's why I have to remind people on occasion to read the full description when they question something that's clearly pointed out in the description.

There they go again.

And once again, they're basically going out of their way to make the homepage really inconvenient for everybody... there's really no option now to just see your description, now you HAVE to see every single activity those you've subscribed to have done (comments, likes, playlists, etc)... I couldn't care less! I just want to see what new videos my subscriptions have uploaded, not read what they had to comment on a video that's of no interest to me!

Maybe try clicking the box that says "Show Uploads Only" that is found at the top of the news feed?

Or is that completely gone for you? Cause all I see are uploads

Never mind, now the homepage is back to (ab)normal for some reason.

But no Sarge, the NEW new new new new redesign didn't even have that "Show Uploads Only" option, which is what I was saying.

I got on youtube as soon as you posted that and I have no idea what you are talking about. You sure your computer wasn't being flaky?
