Oh yes! So please more son. I'm not being pushy, just saying that I love about Cantu's background side of his life and Boober's as well. Deep secrets you know to be revealed.

Chapter 4

Red and Gobo

Gobo didn’t have any maps of the Grove, so he worked it out the way he did when he was lost. “Let’s see,” he muttered, “the Gorg’s garden is this way, and Wander McMooch’s swamp is beyond that. I doubt any Fraggles would live near there, It’s too dangerous…so that means the Grove must be this way!”

Gobo was exceedingly proud of himself. Everything was going perfectly. He’d bring back Mokey some artistic thing and finally, finally win her over.

Unfortunately, he didn’t notice the cliff until he was already falling. Luckily, the cliff was only a few yards up from the ground. Gobo fell and didn’t even know what had happened until he hit his head on the rock below. He sat up after a few minutes, grateful that Fraggles had hard skulls.

As he stood, he realized that something was still wrong. His vision was slightly blurred, and he felt euphoric.

“I feel like I’m floating,” he murmured. “That can’t be good.”

Suddenly, a pair of hands seized him from behind.

0o0
Red tossed and turned in her bed, dreaming. In her nightmare, a pair of burly-looking Fraggles was dragging Gobo along the ground. Gobo was struggling, but he seemed unusually weak and dazed.

“Let me go!” he shouted, shaking his head as if he was trying to get reoriented.

Something’s wrong! thought Red in her dream. He looks…weak.

Finally, Gobo seemed to slip out of consciousness. Red watched in horror as the Fraggles picked Gobo up, put him in the hollow base of a giant tree, and put up a barrier of Itching Plants.

“Is he one of the Singers?” asked the shorter of the two Fraggles.

“Beats me,” said the other. “We’ll leave him here and interrogate him tomorrow.”

At that moment Red woke up, biting back a scream and clutching her blanket. She looked around, realized she was awake, and sighed in relief.

“Just… Just a dream.”

She lay back down, not realizing that that particular dream had come true.

Wow! This is getting intense, but don't leave me like this. (Groans)! Where's Gobo? He might be past his bedtime. Arghhhh! Mokey, figure something out please. Dreams or nightmares get to be true. All right, you're on your own. I'm hungry! Uh... can anybody pass me a doozer stick? Collgoff? Charlie? Anybody (cries) I hope Gobo's okay.

Thanks. I'm taking a break from this to enjoy the rest of my summer, but I will pick it back up (promise) when I get some new software to help me type. I have problems with the fine-motor stuff in my hands, which can make typing very tiring. When I get this new software, I will be able to get more up at a time. Is it worth the wait for that?

Yes! Well Mokey, enjoy the rest of your summer then. I believe you should have new things. Having old things is okay, but it can get boring. So, have a good summer!

I cannot believe this fanfic has been forgotten, but I really love where this is going. I'm still waiting for more story, but I realized that since I have been watching LOTR and saw the Hobbit, there is always a cliffhanger.

Is it just my imagination or does Frodo Baggins remind me of Gobo Fraggle :smirk:?

I'm going to change it up a little bit- he won't get caught in the grove. He'll get in a jam some other way, and get taken down a few pegs, but the idea I have for the end is the same.

Gobo reminds me Of Frodo. And Harry Potter. And Lelouch from Code Geass. And Robin from the Teen Titans animated series. And any other hero who believes he has to do everything on his own, only to get his butt kicked eventually. Most of the time, though, he's pretty capable.
