What's goin' on at Polytech?

Ok, my mom wants to send me to polytech highschool,
(Even though I still have 8th grade to go through but... MEH!)
And I didn't want to go, but she said I don't have a choice. (But it's my education, MEH!!)
Well, when I finally learn to accept the fact that I don't have the choice, I find out, that a lot of people have commited suicide, and have been killed over there! I don't want to go somewhere that could put my life in danger! Can someone please tell me exactly what's going on?

Which Polytech are you talking about? I got two results when I Googled it. One in Delaware and one in Quebec, Canada. And both fit your description.
You should tell your mother you don't want to go there. If she asks why you can tell her, I hope she'll understand.

I did tell her! And so did other people! This is what she said, exactly:

Maybe its not as bad as you think it is. Suicides generally are because a person is bullied and has extremely low self esteem and other issues that have never been addressed. Most people do not just commit suicide. Most of the people who do are depressed and are never treated for it.

Everyone told my parents to not send me to the high school I went to because of how bad it was. In my three years of being there, I know of only about 4 fights. That is NOTHING. NO one ever brought weapons (that I know of), there were a few people killed but those were all car accidents off campus. People tend to blow "bad" way out of proportion

BTW! My mother has said, that basically the suicides are caused by those rich kids who've never gotten a B in their life. If ya catch m' drift.
