I don't know if I should be thanking you or shaking my fist angerly for reminding me of how awesome the show is and making me obsessed with it again :zany:
Lol, yeah my friend and I have the same issue. She introduced me to Cats and I introduced her to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. And there are times when we both regret it, lol.

Twilight Sparkle. Socially inept, hangs out in a library, gets excited over stuff like books and slumber parties, freaks out at getting B's...

Osaka from Azumanga Daioh, too, but that's a completely different ball game.

Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter. She's smart, nice, good to her friends, but has trouble with making new ones.

This one's REALLY obscure. Boz, from the short-lived detective show "Riptide." Total geekerifficness. But I was a gawky nerd kid, and seeing someone the same but whose "cool" friends actually respected him and solved crimes with his help...hey, there are worse role models...

And, natch, Holden Caulfield. Because people really ARE phonies.
