I also have to say, Monkees music is fun to listen to, it's a step up from Bubblegum Rock and some talented ghost writers wrote that music... but the show's amazing. You see all these shows about Pop singers today, none of them are fun to watch. They're trying too hard to be Saved by the Bell or Full House (without the Screeches or the Uncle Joeys that made the shows watchable)... Monkees was trying to be Beatles movie style at first, but turned into something all its own. Like a live action cartoon that doesn't feel stiff or too cartoonish.
eh i do not like pop i'm a ROCK GIRL and i play the bass, guitar, drums, saxophone, banjo, keyboard/piano, and many more see I LOVE ROCK N' ROLL-Joan Jett

Pop does include rock by definition... Pop is an abbreviation of Popular... and popular music includes rock, hip hop and all that...

I'm saying, the music that the Monkees put out, considering it was ghost written... (but who's isn't?) was far superior to the tweeny rock scene that was starting up in the mid60's. But the music was gravy. These guys were pretty talented actors... I really liked Mickey Dolenz's voice acting in the first season of The Tick and Secret files of the Spy Dogs... much much better than the Diz stuff today.

Good to see the Lost love. I really went through something fairly emotional with that show, especially the last episode. It was one of those powerhouses I didn't see coming and when it did, I was barely left intact.

I sobbed for an hour after the finale. It's my favorite TV show of all time, and I was with it from beginning to end.

I still miss it dearly. I've always identified so strongly with Hurley, and what they did with him was one of the most beautiful outcomes ever for a TV character.

I agree. Hurley was always one of my favorites. My favorite was Ben, in the end. I thought his character was magnificently written and every little thing he did was mind bogglingly interesting, not to mention Michael Emerson is a superb actor. I'm glad how Hurley and Ben ended up. I thought it was great.

I haven't started with the show from the beggining but I have all the DVD'S and I'm still catching up.
I'll have to add another show onto my favorites list and that's 24. Great show
