Yeah it's sad there's been such a big nanny agenda to stop kids meal toys. The 90's had some of the most amazing toy sets from non top 3 establishments, now they just have lame dvd-roms and education stuff.

MEANWHILE, portions/content/etc for "adults" at fast food is becoming more larger and disgusting
Haven't you heard? Kids are all complete babbling imbeciles that can't think for themselves and adults are all cynical brain surgeons. That's why we have to hide commercials for candy and kid's meals (and even action figures now because some schmuck wrote a book), but we can show the same get rich quick off of real estate infomercials like the 2008 bank collapse never happened.

That said, I rarely even see kids eat kid's meals anymore... they get the adult portioned stuff. Total logic error. The kid's meals are what they're SUPPOSED to be eating... not the bleeding Big Mac. THAT'S the problem.

I understand the whole giant portions of cheap food because everyone's getting paid less bit... but it's like they have to have humongous regulations on what kid's are exposed to, but libertarian free range for adults. That's what killed Saturday Mornings. I understand parents not wanting their kids to eat certain things, but they're PARENTS! They can refuse to give their kids that stuff.

According to my mom the first movie I ever saw in theatres was Disney's Jungle Book and the second was none other than The Muppet Movie. Of course I was very young at the time (two or three I think ) and I really don't remember any of the experience.

I'm probably the only one, or one of few, who felt this one was better than Hawaiian vacation. Maybe because I'm closer to Buzz and Zurg... bit I loved the support group for abandoned toys, all suggesting full sized expensive action figure Buzz was in denial. Loved seeing the Changable, and the reference to spring loaded toys that constantly misfire (I don't know how many of those broke on me, especially Sharky the Shark Dog and his little house from the KFC Eek! set). This is a nice little one for all the kid's meal toy collecting geeks out there.

The movie itself is beyond words of how great it was. Best post-Henson project hands down. I liked it even more than VMX and MTI (my former two favorites).

VISIONARY. Holy cow. Seriously. 5 minutes? I dont care, this beat the pants off of Toy Story 3(which I felt was un-fun and depressing) In fact, Id say "Small Fry" is one of the best things Toy Story wise since the first film. The look, the feel...my gosh I was laughing so hard yet in awe at the same time...each time a kids meal toy was introduced I was cracking up(as I totally got each reference and what time period it was suppose to be) They made fun of all those lame Dreamworks toy mcdonalds meal toys, the really cool late 90's and 80's toys, the oddball cartoon network and even video game toys.

I loved all the references and such...even the Burger King spoof. Oh! and making fun of how out of hand the portions and "food" is now at the end.

No idea what "small fry" short professional critics and bloggers saw who said they didnt like it.

I adored the short - I was instantly transported back to being a kid and collecting those lovely Happy Meal toys. It was a perfect homage to that. I also thought that even though it was clearly after TS 3, you wouldn't have had to see it - my friend I was with only saw the first one, and she still loved the short.

I wonder if each toy was specifically based on past toys? I got the Kung Fu Panda and Mcchangeables reference, as well as mid 90's regional fast food chain stuff. The toys looked so real and crisp, Pixar is really on top of their game as every second was a joy to watch. If only I was enthused about Cars 2 or Brave

I know the feeling on Cars 2 - I am curious about Brave, the preview was better than I was expecting anyway.
