What's the Deal with Pajama Fashion?

I mean, I constantly see people (mostly young women) walking around in pajamas out in public, like those fleecy jammie pants with cartoon characters on 'em you get at Walmart and such... is this whole thing actually some kind of new fashion trend, or is it more evidence that America is the laziest nation in the world?

I'm thinking a combination of both: they're probably too lazy to actually get dressed, and are hoping it'll catch on so they won't look strange.

Aw, they've been doing this for years. I've seen too many uh... I can't say what I'd call those girls here... but I've seen too many of them slopping into high school like that. And you got to remember, I'm graduated in 2000. That's been there for a while. it's just more socially acceptable. It makes anyone who wants to wear no other shirts thanT-Shirts look like jerks.

I have problems with long sleeves, man...

That's not new; people did it in my High School, after school during clubs, etc. And I did it for awhile in College, lol. One time my Grandparents stopped by to give me some food and my Grandpa was like, "Are you wearing your pajamas??!! Hahahah!"

Okay, but let me ask this then... if PAJAMAS are socially acceptable to wear out in public now, why do people still make a big deal out of sweatpants? I mean, I've recently had to replace most of mine for open-legs ones because apparently it "looked more presentable"; I mean, when the weather's right, that's my thing, that's my style, give me a nice knit sweater, and a pair of sweatpants, and that's me... would you try taking away those leather vests and polyester shirts away from Jim back in the day?

The answer lies with Seinfeld. It's a sign to society that you've given up. I used to be all about the sweatpants when I was younger until I discovered running pants. They're more comfortable, they don't give you that excessive heat when you go inside from coming outside (that's why I hate having to dress warmly... if you spend enough time indoors on a cold day, you boil), and best of all... and this is why I gave those kinds of pants up... those little fuzzy pills that collect inside sweat clothes if you have them long enough. Those things are itchy.

Then of course, there's a double-eded sword with underwear... like these starlets who are photographed gettingout of limos without panties (and they do it on purpose), and people FREAK... but if you actually have underwear on as well...some people FREAK!!!

I despise sweaters and sweat shirts. They're VERY uncomfortable.

On the contrary, I find them to be just the opposite, I find great comfort in a sweater... I just despise how the weather is hot most of the time down here, and I really only get to wear them like three months out of the year.
