Found a cool YouTube channel featuring voice comparions of classic muppet characters performed by different puppeteers.

It's so interesting to compare the voices.

I've seen these and noticed some changes in the overall tones (Statler and Waldorf are the most apparent, while the Chef nowadays sounds just like Jim, Kermit's a little higher pitched, Fozzie and Sam are almost unchanged, and the Newsman has some considerable changes, mainly Brian sounding like Van Neuter)

Actually, from what I learned at the Dave Goelz event in Missouri. Dave didn't perform the Chef in Muppets From Space. Just to point that out. :hungry:
Obviously, the person who did the video (not me, btw) didn't know that. IMDB also made the same mistake. It sure doesn't sound like Dave's voice to me (and I can usually tell who's doing the voices).

Bumping this thread to bring a couple of new voice comparisons

Janice (Fran Brill, Eren Ozker, Richard Hunt, Brian Henson, Tyler Bunch, and David Rudman)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJe-6RG6soY
Actually I believe Richard Hunt also performed and voiced Janice when the Muppets performed on The Cher Show in 1975. It sounded completely different than the voice he came up with later!

But good video anyway!

The link for Sam the American Eagle in the first post is no longer any good. That version was removed by the user, possibly to tweak the edit.

Try this one instead:

Neat idea for videos. They need less text in between the voice clips, in my opinion, so you can hear the differences one right after the other. Maybe just solid clips with subtitles at the bottom for who is doing the voice.

The person who posted those videos said that they were working on a Scooter video.

Out of all of the recasts of Janice since Richard's death, I feel that David Rudman does the best job, his voice is close to Richard's. :flirt:
