I saw an amazing clip on YouTube of a puppeteer named Christopher who does routines to various songs like "YMCA". He uses a puppet/group of puppets with multiple dancers connected by rods so that all of the puppets' arms were connected to his arms and their legs were connected to his. I've also seen this style of puppet for can-can dancers or a chorus line. I've been looking for information about constructing this type of puppet, but I haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas?

Here's an example of the puppet I was talking aobut:

This is a very old technique; there have been many performers who have used it over the years. I've seen more than one do YMCA in fact. It would be interesting to know who originated this.
