The PofA website has all its directors and their contact information listed (under "Regions" I think).

You should really join both PofA and UNIMA-USA before opening your theatre; they will add you to their national listings of puppet theatres. I think the Jim Henson Foundation also maintains a national list or database for puppet theatres.
thanks again buck!

i just got through speaking with joe from "the wonderment puppet theater" and he is a great guy! gave me quite a bit of sage advice!

i will try and hunt down the info you mentioned and register with the groups soon! i kinda want to be a little closer to opening before i do so though...

thanks!

Love to Help

Hey Chris,

Just saw your post and thought I'd drop you a line. My name is Ben Levesque and I am a puppeteer for a touring company in Bellaire, OH.
Although Bellaire is quite a long way away from St. Albans, my girlfriend lives in South Charleston and I am down there all the time visiting her usually from around Sunday through Tuesday or Wednesday. She teaches elementary school and I am usually alone and bored during the days.
I would love to come out to your theater when I'm in the area and offer any help you guys could need. I am a graduate of West Virginia University's Puppetry BFA and have experience with performance, education, and technical theater. For the company in Bellaire I both perform and am the head puppet builder.

I'd love to hear from you if your interested in any additional help. just drop me a message here or find me on facebook or my website missinglinkpuppets.com. I don't want to invite any spam so I won't post my email address here, but feel free to email me when you find it at any of the above locations.

Good luck with the theater!

absolutely MP

believe it or not i met with Ben (the muppaphone) who posted above...and ive almost got him convinced to make the move...hahaha

i also hired a 17 year old girl who is home school and absolutely adores acting and the arts... she presently does odd jobs and things around our local playhouse/theater (2 doors down) and the administrator reccomended her highly... and her charisma and schedule are perfect!

so things are progressing well!
