Not to get off track from your cartoon discussion, but if anyone was aware of it, the 80's tv show "The A-Team" made its big debute over the weekend at movie theaters across the country. Needless to say, reviews weren't that good and most thought it was a big, stupid, action movie.........Kind of sounds like all action movies now a days.

Yeah. The A-Team looks run-of-the-mill, but with fairly good actors in the leads. The Karate Kid looks like it has something a little different than the original, but I'm skipping that one too.

So far, the only films I can recommend for 2010 are "Youth in Revolt", "How to Train Your Dragon", "Kick-A.ss", "Get Him to the Greek" and I'm looking forward to seeing "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World", "Inception", "Despicable Me", "Salt", "The Adjustment Bureau", "Easy A", "Wall Street 2", "You Again", "Tangled" and the new "Harry Potter" film.

To be honest, the A-Team looks exactly like how an A-Team movie would. A big, loud, action series will become a bigger, louder action movie with more explosions. They just changed the wars to make them more current.... plus, if they still used 'Nam vets, they'd be quite old. It basically captures what the show did, in so much that the show really didn't have all that much to it. I like it and all, but we're not talking something extremely deep here. If it were to be a disgrace to the original, like I've been saying, they'd make them all Baby sitters, and Eddie Murphy would play all 4 members in different fat suits.

It looks like the first time a remake is superior to the original. there's just something about it that looks like a higher quality of film, despite the fact that they've used the wrong martial art from the wrong part of the world... it should be the Kung Fu Kid.

The problem is this year is like every other year except last. And here's why. Last year, fewer films went into production due to the writer's strike. And that meant less films competing for each other, and more of an audience seeing less movies. Compare that with this year, where at least 2 blockbusters open up opposite each other every week. Iron Man 2 and Shrek 4 beat the rush in early May, but now everything's slamming into each other, and it isn't even July yet.

It was. I barely remember watching the show, but this is a movie that understands precisely what it is and enjoys itself. Yes, each plan gets more and more ludicrous and convoluted ... but it never promises to be serious to begin with. It's a great romp through the silly.

Yeah... unlike a certain gang of blue characters... I know I should come off it, but I don't usually take that kind of massive disappointment well for long periods of time.

Speaking of the "big, dumb, loud" action movies.....Mr. Michael Bomb-Bay said the third Transfomers movie will have Shockwave as the main villain.

Does it really matter anymore? Everybody has already written off both movies as nonsense at best and get headaches from all the fast pace movement with the camera frames. I wish Bay would just come out and say something within the lines of "Yes my movies are dumb and I only do them to make money, but you're the fools who see the films and line my pockets with more green. I do thank you for that.....suckers".

He says that and everybody can sit back and say he's arragant, but people are the fools who pay money to go see his mindless movies.

Ugh! He's the worst kind of egotistical jerk. The one that doesn't care, says "Fine! Let them call me an egotistical jerk! Now I can be an even BIGGER egotistical jerk, and I can make movies as crappy as I want and make people pay to see them!"

I mean, a movie based on a cartoon based on a toy line has no real expectations behind it, but even they shouldn't be that bad.

At least if he said that, people would shut up about him....somewhat. Studios are going to give him tons of money to direct pictures for them because they know his movies always make money, despite being dumb. If people never saw his movies again, he wouldn't be a bankable director, though if he just ended up producing movies, he'd still make a bunch of money, Oh well......
