They're making a new reality show about senior citizens getting frisky.

I knew it... they are bone-dry for ideas.

I'd tend to disagree. There's (unfortunately) no shortage of ideas when it comes to this non-union sweatshop entertainment. And with the rising cost of actually having to put forth an effort and paying union actors and union writers, it's easy to make more trash.

It doesn't matter how bad a reality TV show flops, it's so cheap, it's guaranteed several season. The only way to stop these from being made is for everyone to stop watching them. And people love to watch them ironically, and they love the trashiness of it all. So unfortunately, we're stuck with it.

Then how about this - Paramount Pictures is going to do a live action movie about a certain Mattel toy... the one and only Magic 8 Ball.

Yep. A movie about the Magic 8 Ball.

maybe its a horror? I can see it happeneing.

But you have to realize, when the econemy is so down, the entertainment only goes up. People turn to entertainment when they're down. Worked in the great depression, and it seems to be working now

Films in the works include ones for The Magic 8 Ball, Monopoly, Battleship, Candyland, The Viewmaster, Stretch Armstrong, but they have yet to make a movie for Slinky! I want my Slinky Movie! :stick_out_tongue:

Ahahaha! Better yet, make it a movie about the Slinky Dog, like a Toy Story spin-off!

It's so frustrating and disappointing that those things shot off in a heart beat, and Fraggle Rock has been in developmental purgatory for years due to lack of funding.

No one is going to see these movies. G.I. Joe and Transformers you can at LEAST base off their cartoon shows.

And yet there's no movie based on Pac-Man or Paperboy? Shameful...

I also know they're gonna make Lego movie which is a mixture of animation, stop-motion, and live action. I'm looking forward to that :excited:

I think if we could pair a few of us MCer's together and bus our way to Hollywood we could really wow them with fresh, original ideas.

If they're going to make a movie off a toy line, they really should consider Dressy Bessie or Betsy Wetsy.

I agree, with a film like Fraggle Rock stuck in purgatory, it's a shame these other companies don't realize the value and viewership Fraggle Rock would get and send money in that direction.
