My favourite growing up was always "Santa Claus: the Movie" with Dudley Moore and John Lithgow.

It came out in '85. But it's still quite the good watch. I actually got it for Christmas last year, so it'll be nice to be able to watch it this Christmas season.
YES! I got the DVD last year, and while I still love it, my memory of the movie was a little more rose colored then I remember.

Elf rules too, but my two favorites are Polar Express and Scrooged.

I love A Christmas Story with the Red Ryder BB Gun, Leg Lamp, and a tongue stuck to a flagpole...
That is one of my favorite movies of all time, Holiday or otherwise...I always laugh like crazy when I watch it. My other favorites would have to be Home Alone 1 & 2...I love funny Holiday movies best. Macauley Culkin was a hoot when he was a kid!

I always watch The Santa Clause (the first one) cause it came out when I was a young'un, and my Dad and I have a tradition to always watch It's a Wonderful Life.

Also a have a tradition with myself to always watch my taped-off-the-tv vhs of Muppet Family Christmas, but my lovely boyfriend burnt me a DVD of it last year, so I no longer have to fastforward through the old 90's toy commercials.

When I was a kid I always watched this animated cartoon called A Nutcracker Prince, I have it on tape, but haven't watched it in quite a few years now. I still remember how freaky the parts with the Rat king are though... >_>

I just bought Home Alone on DVD - I had a VHS copy for years and decided it was time to finally have it on DVD. Hands down it is my favorite Christmas movie ever. My favorite line is Kevin at the beginning saying "when I grow up and get married, I'm living alone!"

Of course I love all Muppet Christmas productions as well. The Santa Clause, Elf and White Christmas are some of my other faves.

I didn't really care for the first Santa Clause movie, yet I loved the second one... go figure; I haven't had a chance to see the third one in its entirety just yet, but from what I've seen, it looks rather cheesy compared to the other two.

A Christmas Story. Nuff said. And we are talking Movies, and not specials, here. DTV stuff counts though, right?

I gotta admit, I liked the first 2 Home Alones, and the first Santa Clause was cute (the cartoonish nature of the second one, and the farting reindeer turn me off... I only like farts when they're clever... or so stupid that they're clever in and of themselves)... And yeah,I think MCC is a great Christmas movie (while I don't like it as a Muppet movie). And I second Christmas Vacation.

Does the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie count? I mean the major plot of the movie revolved around the Chipmunks' Christmas Song.

I'm going to get booed or egged or tared-and-feathered, but I've never seen A Christmas Story. Other than that, my favorite Christmas movies have to be MCC and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (does it count?)

Don't worry, I hadn't seen it at all until last year.

Also, this isn't really so much of a movie, but I loved Mickey's Christmas Carol.
