It would be interesting if people organized a Hulu blackout day when nobody used the service in order to show support for it remaining free.
It won't work.

Back in July, when YouTube announced the forced Beta Channel switch, there was a blackout from July 10 to 15. When we came back, it turned out YT delayed the switch, and it just happened earlier this month.

If it didn't work for YT, it's not going to work for Hulu. After, roughly 600,000 people protested the Beta switch on YouTube, and 98% of the feedback on the switch was negative, but they did it anyway. They don't care about us. It's obviously the same with Hulu.

That's how cable works, my friend, lol.
Yeah, but you also pay for internet... somehow it's the same reasoning behind pay per view.. but with stuff you can watch for free on TV anyway.

While I too am miffed that they switched the channel design despite loads of protest, in all honesty, does anyone go on YouTube just to look at someone's channel design? No, they go on for the videos and they haven't screwed that up yet (just companies complaining their material is on) Things change, it's something we have to accept. I hate the new channel, but it's what I'm given and I have to deal with it. Take that new Zoe puppet for example. When I first heard they were going to use it permanently, I didn't like it. But, it's slowly starting to grow on me and maybe the Beta channel will too.

Well cable is paying f0r a service to watch all the shows on all the different channels all month until the cable bill comes and you start all over again.

What I mean is you get to keep the show that you paid for on your computer or saved somewhere, witch would defeat the whole purpose of hulu in the first place. But to pay for the show you want to watch only to have to pay to view it again?

Maybe they'll have a monthly service fee, too?
