Wow, that was fast!

I had some cookies for you, but they disappeared for some reason... :insatiable:

Okay, folks...

THIS is why a competent customizer often balks at the idea of spending hundreds of dollars for a "re-deco" figure.

All it takes is a little time, talent, and confidence in your abilities.

Let's see... I got the Tuxedo Rowlf for $7.50 on eBay last month. Plus shipping, a new can of white spray-paint, a new can of grey primer, and a small bottle of gloss black acrylic for the bowtie...

All told, less than $20 invested in this one.

Sure, he's probably the easiest one to do, but I'm building my way up slowly to the hand-detailing of a Dr. Teeth.

And then maybe a checkered-suit Mega Gonzo.

Don't worry, even though I have no intention of parting with my customs, I am also a collector, so I do understand concerns about fakes, and I try to make these responsibly. If you saw the figure in person, I could show you four ways to instantly tell it from an authentic white tux Rowlf.

But I'm not going to post such things publicly, because then someone else could make their custom Rowlf perfect, and that's where the trouble always begins.

Holy cow...very cool, Dearth; very cool. I always love to see your handiwork! I awestruck, mostly for the fact that you got your hands on a Tux Rowlf for $7.50 (please tell me he wasn't in Mint Condition!)...! Crazy!

Nope, he wasn't mint. He was loose with no accessories, just the clothes on his back.

And the whites of his eyes are a little glitchy, but I find it easier to digitally retouch those in photos than to repaint the factory paint by hand and have it be believable under close scrutiny.

Here's the exact same photo of the completed custom that you've already seen, but this is before the touchup on the eyes (and zoomed way in):

But, yeah, even the seller was a little shocked at how little he went for.
