That's probably why. The Beaker puppet with electrocuted eyes usually has weird head structures. Take a look at the Beaker puppet used to break into the Mallory Gallery in GMC when he gets electrocuted. It changes afterwards and looks really weird before.

Cute appearance. Could not hear a word he was saying though.

But notice how she put the microphone up to beakers face. Nothing came out of it because he's a puppet. I love it when they make that mistake, lol!
