I wonder if, much like the Sesame Street set in Follow That Bird, we'll see angles of the Muppet Theater that weren't shown on the series. Like a view of the walls we don't see due to that being where the camera is (It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie certainly didn't). Or will we be lucky if the movie even includes the canteen, prop room, and/ or reception area?

I TOTALLY agree with Gonzo's take on the post-Henson Muppet films. :boo:

Here's hoping the new film recaptures the magic.

I know I'm REALLY late but my computer's been stuffed for ages.

WOW. I am SO happy. I haven't been this happy about Muppet news in so long. The review is amazing. And the negatives aren't THAT bad which rock!

I am so so so happy Rowlf seems to be becoming a bigger character again.

My dreams are coming true
Mine too! YAY!

Oh my Frog yeah! That's what I want to hear. FTB and even EIG looked amazing. They really made Sesame Street look like the big bustling busy street that it was meant to be, instead of what seems to be one of those really small areas in a city... you know... one with a very narrow street cars rarely go down. Too bad they would never have the budget ever in a million years to make the show look like that... but the sight of all those people and monsters looking out of their apartment building windows.... made the street feel alive.

I think VMX really made the stage look like a big theater house, instead of a small, cheaper theater.... while, yes... it is a cheap falling apart theater, it looks like the school cafetorium in comparison to the film version. I can't wait to see how the caves of Fraggle Rock look in that film.

Whenever I see the Muppets doing a movie parody, that just makes me think that the writers couldn't come up with anything original.

i agree about VMX. it made the theater look way too big. im not a huge fraggle rock person, and ive only seen the first episode. i wanna get the box set, but again, im not made of money, and thats near the bottom of my list

...And since Scooter's been officially recast, I guess we;ll see a lot of him here too.
He has! For real? Gee. I didn't even know. But I think we oughtta see more fo him. I don't honestly like seeing those brief scenes where he hovers around in the background doing...very little. I like to know he's there, but It doesn't really feel 100% if he just stands there in a funny hat.
