To me, nothing says the SS I grew up with more than Barkley:
I always looked for him especially in picture books and stickers, and wanted to be just like Linda so that I could have him as a pet...It was a sad day for me when he stopped playing tag in the end credits of the show:cry:

I never knew him by Woof Woof so Barkley still sounds just right :smile:

I have to admit I like Barkley better than Woof Woof (except when Bob says "Woof Woof", very cute, hehe). I love how Linda decides to go against Bob, lol. And I get that the scene is to teach kids about the concept of voting. But it still is kinda bizarre that Gordon just decides to change the dog's name. As someone said in a thread awhile back, will he just suddenly decide to change Cookie Monster or Grover's name? Lol

Well, Barkley is a pet, Grover and Cookie Monster is peoples:coy:...Or..something like that *lol*:insatiable:

I know, and yet he is so overlooked, even though what makes him lovable is so much more timeless than a lot of things on SS. I mean, who doesn't love a doggie?:sympathy:

I just saw a new Barkley stuffed animal on ebay I have never seen before, it was by Applause :smile:
