Hi all. Help. I have been a fan of Fraggle Rock ever since it aired. I really like the songs sung by Mokey (Kathryn Muller) and Red (Karen Prell) this leads me to a question. I heard a song that I've been trying to find the title of. I think it was sang by Mokey in a later Fraggle rock episode. I do not know the name but some of the words were: See what these Dreams mean to Me, Light will make it brite, turn on the light and see, Dream in my Dreams, return to me, Truth is so near, Being in my Dreams, Dreaming here is what I see. I would like to know if this was a song in Fraggle Rock or another Muppet show. Any help would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance.

Question about a FR Song

Thanks for the quick reply. A while back I had a recording of the program on VCR that this song was on. I had only managed to record the end that this song appeared in before I ran out of tape. I believe that the channel I was recording was the HBO Family Channel. When I finally had acquired a computer (a 486) I copy the song to a cassette recorder. Then later copy it to a CD writer. But sadly over time, I have not been able to find the VCR tape that it was recorded on, so I could do a little more investigation of the program. But I still have the song on the CD and this is what I used to gather the words of the song. It is a lovely song, it sure sound like Mokey's singing but I guess I was wrong. But I will keep looking. Thanks to all for the input.

The song I was asking about might be from " The Secret Life of Toys" The title is "Light will make it Bright" it is sung by Louise Gold, (sorry Ms Gold. I didn't recognize your voice) She was voicing a character name Daffodil. I am going to see if I can find a copy of this movie and see if in fact that it is what I am looking for. Once again, thanks everybody. Also dose anybody know if HIT will be releasing season four of the Fraggle Rock series on DVD? I have Seasons 1, 2 and 3 DVD box sets and Fraaggle Rock, Fraggle Rocking, A collection on CD. I truly hope they will release it. Also another CD with all the other great Fraggle Rock songs on it. Indeed, I believe that song is from The Secret Life Of Toys, and not Fraggle Rock. Well, basically, I know it's not Fraggle Rock, as I've got pretty well every song from FR memorized.
In regards to your questions; Basically, HIT is releasing Season 4, but only in a Complete Series Box Set, which means people that have the first three seasons already have to rebuy them in teh box set to get Season 4. As of now, there are no confirmed plans for HIT to release a stand alone Season 4. Check out the other threads on this forum for more details.
As far as the CD goes. It would be nice, but I don't think it will happen. Thankfully, I've found a few programs for free online that allow me to rip the songs rip from the DVDs and comvert them to MP3, so I have CDs full of every Fraggle Song ever (at least I will once I get the Series Boxset). Of course, that wouldn't stop me form buying a new CD if they ever release one because I'm kinda a nut like that.
Thank-you kindly for the info. I'm like you when it comes to the matter of the complete Fraggle Rock DVD box set. If they don't release Season Four separately, I might have to purchase the complete set also. Since my last posting I was able to find some more info on the song and program I was asking about. I found that the "The Secret Life of Toys" was a spin-off of Mr. Henson's " The Christmas Toy" which will be release on DVD in a couple of weeks. But I have not had any luck on finding out if "The Secret Life of Toys" series has or will be release. But I will keep looking. Now I just got to figure out what episode of "The Secret Life of Toys" the song was in. Talk to you later.

You know, i hadn't even thought about this until now, but after the news of a rerelease of Christmas Toy on dvd, all i could think of is "Yeah, and it will probably get the excised-Kermit treatment that Emmet Otter got and without the nifty special features to make up for it" but given that this is HIT's first time releasing The Christmas Toy and they basically hold the release rights to the children/"family" fare from the Henson library, maybe the good news could be a release of "Secret Life of Toys" on dvd since that was a sequel series to the Christmas Toy special.
The song 'Light Will Make It Bright' is indeed from the Television Series (not a movie) 'The Secret Life Of Toys. The lyrics were written by Jerry Nelson.
As for not recognising Ms Gold's voice in that number, well I must confess that, although I'm quite a fan of Ms Gold's, when I first heard this I didn't recognise her voice on this either!
But fortunately that character (Dafodil) happens to get mentioned in the Tibby's Bowl/Muppet Central interview.
