I dont know what it was for, but on the news this morning there was a smurf and horton hears a who balloon. It was at school so they keep the sound off, so I have no idea what it was for. Maybe they are for the parade? Seems weird considering I'm about 400 miles from NY though

Anyways, I always watch the parade on tv. Its usually the beginning I miss. But christmas in my family doesnt begin until santa comes down the street.

So, we got Buzz, A Smurf (an official one, not one of the ones you can rent out... they have those), and Horton.

I wonder what the collectible plush will be....

At least at the Macy's here in MN, they have stuffed Hortons all over the store - so I'm guessing it might be Horton.

Wow... Other than Ronald McDonald, NONE of them are commercial mascots. Something unthinkable a few years ago, when they had everyone from Cheesesuarus Rex and Ask Jeeves... and a resounding "Who?" rises from the crowd.

Though I wish Nintendo would retire that Pikachu balloon and sponsor a Super Mario one.
