It has happened to me like twice in less then an hours time. I was at 17,250 and then it went down to 17,249. Then I was past 17,250 and it goes down to 17,242? At first I thought I was seeing things. Is this happening to anybody else?

Lately, many topics have been deleted, and as those topics we posted in are deleted so are our posts, so they go down:frown:

The same thing happened to me, so you aren't going crazy.

I dunno about the deleting topics thing...Because even if you delete something the feelings that made people make those topics are still there IMHO...

You know, most forum services these days have it fixed to where whether you delete a single post, or an entire thread, it doesn't effect your post count, but I don't believe that's the case with vBulletin based forums like MC.

I've noticed that with a few people just today, and also a time or two in the past, where peoples' post counts have dropped all of a suden. I figured it had something to do with threads being deleted, at first, but so often? And not saying I really look that deeply into it, but I can't really see which threads are going. I thought maybe a thread could be set up in either announcements or feedback, in which mods could tell us when a thread or post has been deleted, closed, moved, ETC. This way, whenever something like this happened, people would know why. Does this sound like a bad idea to anyone? It would mean a little bit of extra work for the mods...

Well... Not sure about the threads themselves, but when a post is either merged or deleted, you'll see a line of text below it saying "Reason: *Insert explanation here*" Check out the one Just booted from the dorms as an example.

Hope this helps.
