was Big bird in that first episode? He's just my favorite and Caroll is so great! I know Oscar has a lot to do... at least of what I've seen in clips on the internet.. but Big Bird.. does he have a lot? He's just so great.

The next new episode is airing on Monday, the 22nd.
Thanks, Oscar. At least we got a date confirmed. Since that's a few weeks from now, maybe PBS will get their act together by then. Lol. Let's keep our finger's crossed on that one.

Yeah, the bird rocks doesn't he?:wisdom:

Anyways, no, he wasn't in the first episode, but he was in quite a few afterwards. I like that SW got rid of Cookie and Count announcing the letter and number of the day, and the Trash Gordon segment, since it gives other characters more time for exposure. It's not just the usual Cookie, Count, and Oscar fillers basically. But Big Bird has been in a lot this season, and I can't wait to see the rest!

I guess there is hope for our favorite "feathered friend" after all!

Thanks for answering my question SSLFan...

That's just great that he's been in the season a lot. To me, he was the star of Sesame Street and in some ways is the "veteran" of Sesame Street! Y'know? He's been there since day 1... same as Caroll... Jim's passed years ago and Frank isn't there as often... Dave Goelz doesn't really do much with Sesame and neither does Jerry due to his health... Richard Hunt passed as well.. and NEW puppeteers entered.. Marty Robinson is great!

But Caroll has just been with it so long and so true that it always made Big Bird, to me, more believable. Granted Matt Vogel does "understudy" bird... i feel like it's his cousin.. LOL!

But thanks again for the info!

Caroll is indeed the rock of Sesame (no offense to Rocco, of course). He keeps everything & everybody together...even Oscar. XD

I wished they would just get some other episode with Oscar and Big Bird together or at least have both in the street scene. Not to mention Ernie and Bert. I loved the episode of Bert's Birthday and Ernie having to go do something so Bert could read his book. I really felt that Bert wasn't being to nice to Ernie but at the end Bert understand that he couldn't do anything without his buddy. I want more of Ernie and Bert street stories too.

Ditto. It seems that nowadays, Ernie & Bert stories are scarce.
