How Do I Remove a "Userplane Application"?

For the past two days or so, every twenty seconds or so, my browser starts clicking automatically, and the status bar at the bottom of the window indicates its opening "http://subtracts.userplane.com/oa/www/delivery/afr.php?domainid..."

I want to Yahoo! Answers and some guy had the exact same thing and was wondering what was going on, and someone answered saying that Userplane is some kind of chatroom, and that more than likely had an "application" for it on his computer; I've looked in my Program Files, WINDOWS folder, and even the Control Panel to look at the "Add/Remove Programs" option, but didn't see anything that resembled some "userplane" thing.

Can anybody help?

Try opening "Ad or Remove Porgrams" and arrange them by date and see if it's a recent download.

I have the feeling too, lol.

Actually, I looked it up on Wikipedia (I know it's never 100% accurate), and it says a lot of websites use it like MySpace, so I'm wondering if its something I unwittingly downloaded from them?

Most probably Snowth. Download free applications like Adaware or Spybot S&D and run the checkers. It'll search out all the spyware on your computer and remove it safely - you'll probably find your system runs much faster and smoother after.

Okay, I just did a search on my entire computer, and I found where the application was hiding: it's in a folder marked "Application Data" for my Macromedia Software in my "Documents and Settings" on disk C.

The only problem is I can't get to it to remove it, as it's in a "hidden file", and "hidden files" are "hidden" for a reason.

I DID notice when I check it out, however, that it was created in November of 2006, when I first got this computer... so if it was created nearly two years ago, why is it just now starting to make a nuicence of itself?

McAffee (in the case of spyware) will only block things that try to download without your permission, sounds like this is something that you have downloaded as part of another application or website download. If its in your Macromedia then it could be a flash applet or something. As for the date, are you sure thats when the file was created and not the folder? As when you first install Flash or first turn on the computer it will automatically create certain folders as locations for anything you download later.
