My son and I have been watching "Follow That Bird" over and over. He loves it and I'm happy to share it with him. I wish there were more Sesame Street movies being made similar to this. My son likes Elmo's movies, but they really bore me. I'd like to see some made for TV movies similar to Sesame Street and the Met Museum of Art.

I always say this....

If you watch Elmo in Grouchland expecting it to not be all about Elmo, you'll be dissappointed. However, I saw the film and really enjoyed it for what ot was. It was hardly as epic as Follow that Bird, but I didn't expect it to be.

I'd love to see another theatrical film as well. one that focuses on Grover, specifically Super Grover. But even if one were to happen, it would probably be about Abby.

I wish PBS still aired specials like that during pledge month, and not the same old music and self help programs over and over.

A Super Grover movie would be a great idea! Especially now that comic book heroes have dominated main stream movie production. Super Grover could help save SS from an evil contractor that plans to buy all the properity and building a strip Mall.

Those two movies were pretty much our generation's SS in a nutshell. That and Christmas Eve on SS:smile:

I miss the close family feeling our SS had, now it seems like the humans and the muppets don't get together as much, or hang out only in 'best friend' pairs:sympathy:.

How did you end up being familiar with the SS movies before the TV show?

For most kids it's probably the other way around.

Music in Elmo in Grouchland is nice, but the movie itself does bore me quite a bit. I feel quite lucky that I waited to buy it
when it was seriously discounted at a Best Buy just last month.

I got mine at Wal-mart for about 5 bucks or so. And that was a couple years back. I still am trying to look for KSY. I never got the chance to get it at either WalMart or Best Buy when it was that cheap.
