What's sad is that that's actually the lowest price I've ever seen for a gallon of gas down here, and that was, like nearly a decade ago!

My parents always talk about like "I remember when was was X-amount of cents a gallon"... well, all I can say is "I remember when gas was $1.15 a gallon".
Ummm... I believe I said gas is $1.15 a LITRE. Not a gallon. They're totally different sizes. Go google the metric system.

I know, that's why I pointed out that's the lowest price I've seen for a gallon of gas down here in the U.S.

Comparing the two... you know, like...

"Gosh, it was 30C out today!"
"I've never even seen it get down to 30F around here..."

I think it's around $3.50 or something here.

The other day, my Dad went to get gas, and when he went to pay for it, he learned that the guy ahead of him had spent about $150.00 to fill up his tank. That is ridiculous!
Aw man sweetie! That is ridiculous!

Brits and canadians use litres, not whatever crazy measurement you guys use (gallons or something?); you converted the money but didn't account for that. :stick_out_tongue: We're probably paying about the same price if it were measured in equal amounts.

Here it's about $1.15 a litre. :/
*headslap!* Oh, yes, of course it's litres! Sorry I didn't think to point that out...I'm heading to work now, I'll check out the price on the way!

Oh yeah! I totally forgot about the metric system! We tried that in the States here when I was a kid. All my teachers kept saying how America was going to get on board with the rest of the world and make metrics the official measurement system... then we just stopped. Out of the blue, and no one ever brought it up ever again.

My wife heard on the news that it's going up 25¢ tomorrow. :concern:

Yeah, I remember hearing about back in the 80s or so, it got so ridiculous, people were saying like it's like "Okay kids, we taught you all about the alphabet, well, screw that because now we're going to use the Chinese alphabet!"

I know, but what was so weird was how it just disappeared. Like we all just said, "F*** Europe, we're Americans God ******!"

No wonder no one likes us :stick_out_tongue:

Imperial system < Metric System.

That's all I have to say.

Actually, no it's not. Cause, and you guys must promise me, if you DO ever have to convert to metric, PLEASE keep the british spelling? Litre, metre, etc. No 'er's here!
