Yep, it's made it to DVD. My guess is that they've waited to drum-up support for the new film they're making. I was initially upset that the first season is divided in half, but consider this DVD contains 18 episodes. That's unheard of for modern season of animated programs, much less twice that, so this makes sense.
There are two discs running 345 minutes and it includes a featurette, music video and supposedly an Easter special (not sure on that one). It's out today February 26, 2008. I am excited. I have missed this program very much. I just hope it holds up to my memories of it from the 80s. I haven't seen it since then!
