I thought this thread was a bit familiar! I sort of did something like this a few months ago.

P.s. SSL fan, I also loved Bananas in Pyjamas! Hahaha.

p.p.s. Ziffeled by Snowth!

It really wasn't. Comparing it to Bill Nye is like comparing Hogan's Heroes to M*A*S*H.
Ooh, burn! lol. But I get your drift, yeah.

Back to the Magic School Bus, my favourite is always right at the end when they ask the producer questions, and random kids on telephones say "Is this the Magic School Bus?" in ridiculous accents. :hungry:

Hmm... I never saw that...:embarrassed:

WHAT? Your PBS station isn't cool then. :stick_out_tongue: No, after every episode, they played that clip. Then they had a brief segment with The Producer (played by the guy who played the male Cosby kid) who's always doing something with Liz while talking to kids who had questions about the show. It was all animated, they weren't real kids, but they drew attention to the realism of the episode (ex. "If Arnold took his helmet off on pluto, he would get alot more than a head cold!").

It was sweet.

Um... Peppi? The Magic School Bus never aired on PBS... or at least not where I lived... it was always on either FOX, or they played it on the Discovery Kids Channel.

It played on PBS around here....
Okay, so I'm not crazy.

Edit: Snowthers, just to prove that I'm not crazy either, check out this youtube clip. At 3:55, we see the telephone bit / the Producer and Liz talking on the phone. There was a clip like that at the end of each episode.

Wow... well, like I said, they never showed that whenever I watched the show. Heck, in fact, Little Richard never sang the theme song over the closing credits either, it was always an instrumental version.

Well now, it makes sense, even cartoons aren't safe from commercialism, as I mentioned earlier, whenever I watched The Magic School Bus, they even nicked up the opening theme song.

GAH, why do there have to be so many commercials these days to cut vital parts away from our favorite shows?
