Truth is, we don't actually know if the episodes will be intact and what copyright problems they may have for certain songs.
Copyright seems to be a fickle business. The Vincent Price episode on the first season set had the "You've Got A Friend" number removed while at the same time the song was used in an AA car insurance ad here in the UK. Go figure.

I hope these clips would be cut from these episodes perhaps due to music issues:

Alice Cooper:

Song: Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Marisa Berenson:

Song: Do Re Mi

Danny Kaye:

Song: Age of Aquarius

Roy Rogers & Dale Evans:

Blue Skies
Why would you HOPE something got cut...? I mean, I understand being worried about them not being on there, but who would actually WANT something to be cut? I mean, there's pessimistic, but then there's sheer insanity...

But anyway, I'm severely excited for this set now. This is FANTASTIC! The new documentaries sound AWESOME as well as the inclusion of commercials and The Muppets on Puppets. This set is going to be phenomonal! Disney is really going all out with this one!

It's pretty much speculated that there won't be any cuts. If they worked so hard to get all the rights ironed out for S2, why would they go back to cuts in S3?

And as for advertising agencies? They can use any song they darn well please. There's a "Viva Viagra" commercial that Prestly's widow and daughter tried to block unsuccessfully.

Ah, I see. I wonder why advertising agencies get priority over other company when ad agencies are specifically out to make money from using the song when a DVD release like The Muppet Show would only use is as a small part of a longer program or show.
I would hope the cuts are, at the very least, few on the S3 box but you never know. Some tracks are no longer available at ANY cost depending on who now owns them.

Actually, on The Muppet Newsflash, the side of the box can be seen, and it says "The Complete Third Season" there.
As minor muppetz pointed out, they really do seem to be advertising this as the Complete Third Season, just like they did with the Complete Second Season, which was indeed uncut.

I'm still not going to jump to any excited conclusions about seasons 4 and 5, but going on what they say I would assume this set will be uncut also.

The way I look at it I think it's better to anticipate cuts due to music rights and be diliriously surprised than to assume the opposite and open yourself up for disappointment. It will be great if there are no cuts on the other sets though naturally.

Yes... That was the Gilda Radner episode, one of the first amongst Season 3's episodes.
Hope this helps.
