Occasionally in the 80s, they did put a News Flash bumper at the beginning of Don Music sketches, probably because it seemed to work anyway.

I imagine they just edited it onto the sketches that didn't have the opening logo. They did that with a few regular News Flash segments that didn't have the intro.

I wonder why the Don Music sketches didn't have the newsflash logo. The "Mary Had a Bicycle" sketch began with Kermit referring to it as the cultural part of the Sesame Street News program.
