Too true, this is a challenge I'm willing to accept.

My own experiences in television so far have been what all I've done for my local PBS station - I've served mostly as a cameraman when we tape some of our local TV shows, but I've also helped contribute to pledge drives, as I've stated numerous times before as, what else, a puppeteer. That's LIVE TV right there! Some of the greatest lessons I've learned came from those live TV experiences. It WAS scary at first because the whole eastern side of the state was watching, but I found I was able to forget about that fact because I was too busy concentrating on the little monitor I had at between my legs while at the same time try to keep an entertaining, yet informative conversation going with the humans, and other puppet characters I was interacting with.

At this rate, you could be a modern Jim Henson, for this is just how Jim himself started! ^_^

Well, if it wasn't such a sin to have idols, then Jim would definitely be my idol!

But, yeah, my mom often compares me to a young, ambitious Jim Henson since I have such a passion for puppetry like this. Never felt quite the same towards cartooning, hence one reason why I 'retired' last summer.

Perhaps his spirit is guiding you towards a desirable path?

I like to think so... I mean, if it wasn't for him, I probably would never have thought of persuing a career in puppetry, and I know other people have felt the same way.

Same with me and cartooning. I figure Walt to be guide with that.

I'm going to side with Frogboy yet again on this one.

Widescreen is for film, full frame is for television. I swear, that Ghostbusters videotape I had soured me totally on full frame movies. And As I said somewhere else, what's the point? usually the opening and closing credits have to be shown in widescreen anyway, so you get the worst of both worlds. Seriously, that scene in the elevator was terrible. And you can see the same sort of thing on the Elmo in Goruchland DVD during one of the musical numbers. The film slows down, and the puppetry looks completely out of sync. It's a nightmare.

What I don't get is how come they can't do a full reverse, and make Wdiescreen TV's capable of Full Frame letter boxing?

I mean, certain sitcoms make sense in wide screen, like My Name is Earl and The office, which I tend to think of as a more theatrical approach to the sitcom in general anyway. But with traditional laugh track type sitcoms, it demands a full frame presentation.

But what get's my goat? Anytime a DVD is on sale, or packaged with something (A bonus disk, a toy, or another DVD of another movie) it's always in full frame. I haven't been able to get the Spongebob movie yet because I'm having trouble finding the widescreen presentation.

And what's worse, when that's the only format they release on DVD. In fact, the Power Puff Girls movie loses a cameo from the cast of Aqua Teen Hunger Force due to this.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force deserves to be cut, due to that bombing crap. Sure, it was to promote the movie, but when fans go that far, then something is wrong.

Exactly. Ghostbusters, particularly the elevator scene is a mess in P&S. On the DVD commentary, Ramis or Aykroyd specifies this scene as a nightmare in full frame. One of them says something to the effect, "oh, I was in that scene after all." This is another great example of full screen vs. widescreen.

I couldn't find the SpongeBob movie in widescreen around here either. I had to order it from Amazon. I won't buy a film unless it's in its OAR.

Then how come whenever I see movies in full screen and widescreen, they always turn out like this?
