Actually it never snowed on Halloween here, but occasionally it did rain, which could be a pain. But we always went out anyway! :halo:

What I remember most is getting to dress up at school in the 2nd half of the day and having the parade, it was always so much fun. One year I was Madeline and I won most original costume. I think having my Madeline doll with me helped, lol. Then I wore it again to Summer camp and won again!

And in Kindergarden I won the pumpkin painting contest, yay! It was a simple clown look (when everyone else had platforms and elaborate things), but somehow it stood out. I won a book of McDonald's certificates, which we always used to give out to Trick or Treaters. Remember those?

And there was the hayride around our school, which was great, even though we nearly fell off every time we hit a speed bump!

My area does have some farm land and there's always pumpkin picking. Well...more accurately pumpkin picking upping, since the pumpkins were already picked a few days ago and then just put back on the ground again for kids, lol.

Anyone ever have their pumpkin destroyed or stolen? About two years ago I had a pumpkin where I drew a picture of Bender from Futurama. The kids who came to the house loved it, but I guess they loved it a bit too much - it went missing!

I remember a real knife that went missing after having it in stuck in this monster i had made for one halloween. I sat in a chair and so i put a pretty small knife in it and put blood coming out. Well when some kids came up for some candy i found out it was missing after they left. It really made me mad but i guess that's what happens.

When I was in Nebraska, we had Halloween "canceled" a few times due to sudden blizzards (talking broken trees, power outages, etc...)

Does anyone remember the special "The Worst Witch" with Tim Curry? It was about an academy for young witches, sort of an early Harry Potter.

Yep the next day after Halloween the pumpkins that were carved were demolished.

Ah true, he is beyond awesome, hehe.

What I remember about the show was when the teachers were handing out black cats to the girls, they called the girls' names out loud. And the girls with the highest grades got called first, and the girls with the lowest, last. I always thought that was so rude, lol.

But I loved when Tim Curry comes at the end and makes everything alright for the poor girl everyone teased. I used to wish someone would do that for me.
