Oh yeah, we get 11:00 week night episodes, but I'm not staying up to watch a crappy 2007 episode when I can watch good, olod episodes anytime I want. I still need seasons 9 and 10 though. I dont know what season will stop buying at.

You fans of The "Simpsons" would've loved this:
When I flew to NY on Jet Blue a few months ago,the airline was sponsoring "The Simpsons" movie. So one of the channels on the TVs on the flight only showed Simpsons shows!

That's totally awesome! Sounds like my kind of flight!

Anyway my Fox 5 used to show 2 Simpsons episodes from 6:30-7:30 PM but now they show 1 at 7:00 PM and one at midnight.

I'm not complaining though, 'cause every day that I'm working I work till 8 which means I never used to see the Simpsons on TV, so now I get to see one at midnight! (And it's usually an episode I haven't seen from one of the newer seasons which is always good)

remember the shorts on the tracy ullman show? thats the first appreances of the simpsons
Dude... I watched those when they FIRST came out! A long long time ago, and I was very young, but I watched them. I can still remember how excited I was that they broke out of 1 minute segments and got their own half hour SPECIAL (let alone a Tv series).

So far in the 7:30 slot they've been showing really really good old ones. They usually rerun the 2003 and 2004 season. Ick. Tonight I saw the one about Duff Gardens, and Homer's grotesquely overaged sandwich.

Heh heh, yeah, I think Homer getting botulism from the overaged sandwich is the highlight of this episode!

Carl: We hardly made a dent in that 10-foot hoagie.

Homer: I'll give it a good home.

(time cut)

Marge: You've been eating that sandwich for over a week! I think the mayonnaise is starting to turn.

(time cut)

Marge (holding sandwich, which is in a horrible state): Homer, I found this behind the radiator. I really think you should throw it away.

Homer: Suggestion noted. (begins to eat sandwich)

(cut to the present, where a very sick Homer is in bed with something that used to resemble a sandwich)

Homer: Marge, I'd like to be alone with the sandwich for a moment.

Marge: Are you going to eat it?

Homer (pause): Yes.

(Later, a chilly Homer, covered in a blanket gets angry at the sandwich for causing his illness)

Homer: This is all your fault! Oh...I could never stay mad at you. Let's never fight again.

(Marge finally throws the remains into the trash can)

-------------------------------------------------

(Homer is at home, recouperating)

Marge: I rented another movie, in case you felt better.

Homer (taking the tape): The Erotic Adventures of Hercules.

Marge: With Norman Fell as Zeus.

Homer: Woo-hoo!

(Norman Fell of course played Mr. Roper on Three's Company, lol)

-----------------------------------------------

(Marge's aunt has died, and the Simpsons are on their way to the funeral)

Homer & Bart (singing): On top of spaghetti/All covered with cheese/I lost my poor meatball--

Marge: If you don't mind, we're on our way to a funeral!

Homer (singing): Ding Dong, the witch is dead!

Bart: Which old witch?

Homer: The wicked witch!

Marge: Homer!

----------------------------------------------

(at the funeral home)

Patty: I can't believe Aunt Gladys is really gone.

Selma: Her legend will live forever.

Homer (thinks to himself): Yeah. The legend of the dog-faced woman! (he starts to laugh, then speaks out loud) Legend of the dog-faced woman! Oh, that's good!

Marge: Homer!

Homer: What? D'oh!

------------------------------------------------

(Marge's aunt is reading her will on videotape)

Aunt: To Marge, I leave my potato chips that resemble celebrities. They're all here. Otto von Bismarck, Maurice Chevalier, right down to Jay Leno. These chips were my children, Marjorie. Take special care of them.

(Homer is inadvertently stuffing his mouth with the prized chips)

Homer: Uh-oh...
