Well, technically it is the second episode, the Christmas one being the first. But yeah. On my fox affiliate they showed the classic "Bart the Genius," a great first season ep. While I love first season, I think the show really took off second season. These things are almost 20 years old! Amazing.

Yeah, it's great that Fox is starting from the very beginning. I don't have the season 1 set, but I forgot how funny "Bart the Genius," and several other eps., such as "Bart the General" and "Moaning Lisa" (at least the subplot where Homer tries to beat Bart at a boxing video game) were!

Really? That's kinda lame if you're a fan (and you don't own the DVDs). Until this fall, my Fox stations showed The Simpsons four times a night (all different episodes) between 6 and 7:30, five days a week. Now one of the stations is showing some lame new papparazzi-type show in one of the time slots, and the other is airing Family Guy, which is cool with me. So now we get The Simpsons twice every weeknight, once on Saturday (if we're lucky), and of course prime time Sunday. So I get Simpsons eps. 6 to 7 days a week, lol!

I have a feed for Fox 5 but its KVVU in Vegas, no Simpsons though. I do watch the regular episodes on another Fox though.

I get Simpsons once at 7:30 and once at 11:30. I do not stay up to watch the 11:30 one.

Those little bits are still funny. Although I think the very crude look of the characters (at least in the beginning) are funnier than a lot of the situations.
